Ethereum ETF Has Been Approved!

ETF simply means Exchange-Traded Fund.

It is usually a collection of different stocks all into one.

For those of us who are still trying to get a hang of all these Bitcoin ETF and Ethereum ETF approval gist, this is simply like the stock version of $BTC and $ETH respectively.

Just like same way we have GOLD ETF.

You can buy Gold ETF from the stock market instead of buying Gold itself.

In same way, investors can now buy $BTC and $ETH from the US stock market in form of stocks (ETFs) instead of buying them as coins from crypto exchanges.

This gives some investors some sense of security due to the regulations of the stock market by SEC.

Both Gold, $BTC and $ETH ETFs mirrors closely the price of Gold, $BTC and $ETH respectively.

Crypto ETFs approvals are usually filed by investment and venture capitalist (VC) firms like BlackRock, Fidelity etc.

These crypto VCs always hold/invest a considerable amount on $BTC, $ETH and other major coins.

Once they get SEC's approval, they list their individual ETFs in the stock market and investors can make a pick from any of them and buy.

Technically, ETFs investors will be buying $BTC or $ETH from these crypto VCs in form of stocks from the stock market.

What does this ETF approvals mean to crypto market and why the excitement about it?

It creates a wider range of acceptability for $BTC, $ETH and by extension, the overall crypto market. And acceptability is what drives the value of any currency - whether crypto or fiat.
It attracts more investors into the crypto space and with more investors, there's more capital inflow into the crypto market which can induce a bullish movement.
It gives crypto more popularity and revalidates it as one of the mainstream investment vehicle.
