🇰🇵 North Korean hackers are intensifying their attacks on the crypto industry with a new Android malware, SpyAgent, warns the FBI.
🔎 Discovered by McAfee, this sneaky malware steals private keys by scanning screenshots and images on your phone using optical character recognition (OCR).
🛡 How it works:
▪️ Malicious links in texts direct you to fake, seemingly legitimate sites.
▪️You download an app disguised as a banking or streaming service.
▪️The app requests permissions to access your contacts, messages, and local storage, then starts stealing your private keys from images.
Currently targeting South Korean users, SpyAgent is found in over 280 fake apps. Stay vigilant and avoid downloading apps from unverified sources! 🕵️♂️🔒
