How was Blurt in April 2023?

Hi Blurtians,

I'm aware that many of you have been eagerly awaiting this post!

Although I was held up for more than a month now, preparing BeBlurt's version 1 update, which includes communities, delegation system, push notifications, and more, and required my full attention, I couldn't fail to report the Blurt blockchain data for April 2023.

So I'm taking a break for a few lot of hours to relax and take advantage of it to write this post, without further delay, here are the data.

In this post, we'll be taking a closer look at the Blurt blockchain data for the month of April 2023, compared to the months of March 2023, February 2023, and January 2023.

In April 2023, the block producers, who are also known as "witnesses" on the Blurt blockchain, had the responsibility of generating 849,336 blocks.

The witnesses are elected by the community through voting so you can show your support by casting your vote at https://beblurt.com/witnesses to give a better ranking to your favorite witness(es) ;)

Transactions & Operations

In April 2023, the witnesses' blocks recorded 244,019 transactions and 259,056 operations (with one transaction potentially containing multiple operations).

operations

It can be noted that the decline in the number of operations as well as the number of transactions continues.

New Accounts

Let's take a look at the number of new accounts created which is a good and interesting indicator.

New Accounts

Due to the strange numbers for April, I looked at the data further, see below the graph by creator account for the period.

image

So not a real wave of new active Blurtians :(

Active Accounts

So it will be interesting to see this new metric that some people were waiting for, the number of active accounts per month. Any user who interacts with the blockchain through a non-virtual operation (vote, transfer, delegation...) during the period is considered an active account.

image

I admit to being disappointed by this metric which I thought would be higher and which means that there are not that many accounts that do not post. But let's see the evolution of the number of authors to compare.

Distinct Authors

What about the number of unique authors on the Blurt blockchain?

Distinct Authors

As the graph shows, in April, 777 unique bloggers posted on the Blurt blockchain. This means that if we take the 1,191 active accounts, there were only 414 non-bloggers last month on the Blurt blockchain.

Posts & Replies

Let's get to the heart of the matter! Were there more or fewer posts in April 2023? Was there more or less engagement through comments?

Posts & Replies

No surprise, the numbers are also dropping despite a month of March that seemed to want to go up again. The lack of engagement (number of replies) is also still very present.

Frontends / dApps

And how the posts are distributed by Frontends / dApps, that's what we will see below.

Frontends / dApps

No big change on this side with a large predominance of the Official frontend although it is decreasing following the trend of the number of posts. Only BlurtLatam seems to be progressing.

Now let's see what's happening on the financial side

Authors Rewards

A very surprising result that I have for the moment difficulty understanding and analyzing, I am curious to see what will look like for the 2 others that are linked to it, namely the curation rewards and beneficiaries.

Authors Rewards

April Top 10 authors (in rewards) are:

I would also like to remind you that on the BeBlurt dApp, you can find this information on the user dashboard as explained in this post: BEBLURT | Update v0.3.0 | Blurtian Analytics Dashboard

Curators Rewards

The trend of the curations follows well that of the authors which is what we expect

Curators Rewards

April Top 10 curators (in rewards) are:

Beneficiaries Rewards

The Beneficiary Rewards on the Blurt blockchain refer to a system where a portion of the rewards generated from a post or comment on the platform is allocated to a designated beneficiary account. This beneficiary account can be any account on the Blurt blockchain that the author of the post or comment chooses to support.

When a user creates content on Blurt, they have the option to designate a beneficiary account and set a percentage of the rewards that they would like to allocate to that account. The beneficiary account can be any Blurt account (their own account, another user, community, dApp/frontend)

Once the post or comment is published, the rewards are distributed among the author and any designated beneficiaries according to the percentage set by the author. This allows authors to support other users, communities, or dApp/frontend they believe deserve recognition and rewards for their contributions to the platform.

The Beneficiary Rewards system is intended to encourage engagement and collaboration among users on the Blurt blockchain and to foster a culture of generosity and support. It is also a way for authors to demonstrate their appreciation for the work of others on the platform.

FYI: On BeBlurt, posting in a Community will automatically add a 3% beneficiary to the Community owner's account as a contribution to its growth (you have the option to add more % if you wish but cannot remove it).

Power Up / Down

Finally something very positive! For the 2nd month in a row, the Power Up are higher than the Power Down.

Power Up / Down

April Top 10 Power Up are:

Before listing the Top 10 Power Downs, a little clarification, doing a power down does not necessarily mean selling your BLURTs but simply putting them in liquidity. ;)

April Top 10 Power Downs are:

Transfer from & to Exchanges

As a reminder: Only Probit is recognized as an exchange for BLURT by CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap and only the values of this exchange determine the value and volume of exchange on these 2 major websites of the crypto world!

To Exchanges

Transfer to Exchanges

April Top 10 Accounts transfers to Exchanges are:

Transfer from Exchanges

For those intrigued by the high amount of March, the answer is @mk-int-token with 2,768,711 BLURT

April Top 10 Exchanges transfers to Accounts are:

Delta from/to Exchanges

Well, well, well! We end this post in a very unexpected way, I did not expect to see a Delta between sending and receiving to the exchanges to stabilize like this and was rather pessimistic.

Last word

This concludes the analysis of Blurt blockchain data for April 2023. I hope that this analysis provides you with a comprehensive overview and a better understanding of the trend on Blurt.

Please keep in mind that several exciting projects are currently underway, each with their own unique vision, and you are sure to find something that suits your needs.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this analysis, and I hope it has been helpful.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments ;)

thank you for presenting important data for those of us who have difficulty reading data.

I'm curious, why do people who have a lot of blurt here do a lot of power downs. whereas they have great potential to support blurt.

Isn't it when they do it, the blurt potential grows bigger? Do they want their money to become meaningless and blurry to be left behind?

Or am I uninformed about this? Hmmm.

have a nice day ✨

You're welcome, thanks for your feedback. Not easy to answer in their place, each one having different visions and objectives.

the decrease in engagement may also be related to the season of the year. people don't stay at home so much during their free time anymore, so they don't write as much and don't comment. I think that if you do a similar statement for September October November, the trend will start to reverse.

I think the month of May will be similar, maybe we will see change in June which is the rainy season in Asia

How many active visits per month ?

Curious to know where we would appear on this list …

259,000 ? More than Hive ???

Thank you for this valuable report, how much useful information in one place and accurately.

I think as long as the bear market continues, there will be little movement, as the price of cryptocurrencies in general, including Blurt, becomes unattractive, but when the trend reverses, this will get interesting.

P.S: I still can't log in to BeBlurt, after approving the transaction in Whale Vault, nothing happens.

Greetings 🤗

Awesome. Suprisingly Blurt is quite an active community! Love it. I should come by more often. Lol.
