WHY YOU NEED 10,000 BLURT ON BLURT.BLOG!

Welcome Jerry, good to see you again. I always felt you were under appreciated on other platforms, I hope the Blurt community shows you the love you deserve.

Your video was flawless and gave an amazing vibe, probably the most enjoyable video to date. Thanks @offgridlife for pestering him to join 😀 (yes we can do emojies!!)

Other cool things about Blurt is our nodes are very light thanks to fees reducing spam, so Blurt witness nodes can actually run on Raspberry Pi’s making our infra providers resilient to low coin prices and gives us true edge-of-network penetration without centralised dependencies on datacentres.

Our community is very forgiving and helpful so witnesses can tinker with home-based hardware setups as a training ground to validate on other more difficult chains.

We also don’t have a stable-coin, there have been countless articles about possible stablecoin regulation and aversion to stables that arent fiat backed, also after the Terra crash there have been discussions that governance tokens should not have ties to stable coins so I believe we are future proof.

Lastly our governance voting has been upgraded, no longer can you vote with 30x your stake for 30 witnesses, each time you vote it divides your witness vote power by an extra unit, this means hostile consensus takeovers are more difficult but deadlocks can happen so HF issuers need to be careful to ensure the proposed HF will be accepted by all parties.

Enjoy our community!

@megadrive thank you for helping me see the differences here all of which I think are perfect moves in the right direction eliminating the stablecoin, no downvotes, voting for witnesses focused instead of scattered, and having nodes being light and easy to run! I intend to post here daily and covert Blurt whenever I can on on https://www.youtube.com/@jerrybanfieldcrypto

Thanks for adding this great info on Jerry's post which will surely be seen by many. Simply put, Blurt is faster, smarter, safer, less centralized; and there for a much better and more fair platform.

I have discovered Blurt via Jerry (I was not even aware of its existence). For me, it seems like a good timing to jump in. I am intrigue about the DEV side (you mention how light the nodes are), working in IT, I just can't help myself. I will look around Blurt to find some DEV info, but if you got a shortcut to check out, it could save me some research time and would greatly appreciate 😀.

Thank you for joining us here!

Hey there that is great. A few of our most active developers are @sagarkothari88,
@nalexadre, and our number one witness @saboin. Also @imransoudagar who is not a developer but is very helpful and knows the ins and outs of everything here. I'm sure anyone of these guys can help you with anything you'd like to know in regards to the tech side.

Also the FAQ on the top right drop down box is loaded with info.

Excellent, I will do my "homework' and will make the necessary contacts (now that I know a few). Very appreciated 👍

Hi @pegarissimo, you are welcome anytime on the dev channel of the Blurt Discord Server. I think this is the best starting point to learn more about development on Blurt and all the tools and git repo available, and also a must when you have questions.

Cool! Very apreciated (Discord is a great starting point indeed), thanks for the info!

Welcome to Blurt @pegarissimo!!! Blurt is a growth orientated project so we are always looking for bright and experienced minds! 🙌

@world-travel-pro do you know any one or have any posts that you could direct this new user towards the DEV info they are looking for?

!! oh, double thanks ! That is quite some community engagement : I like it :-)

All the changes you mention are good but problem of "fake stake" remains. If you want development of this blockchain then talk to Jacob about placing funds from socialgraph account in swap pools. Stop robbing the reward pool, start thinking about higher and stable BLURT price. I showed how to do it, just by placing $10K in swap pools the price increased by 100%

There is no fake stake, please stop pushing that narrative, every blockchain has a founders or foundation stake, even Satoshi took a position in bitcoin. It is not Blurt core’s role to manipulate price and infact it could cause regulatory issues if we do, price movements must come from the community,

Blurt core will be adding some liquidity and rewards to the pool to strengthen it however and I may personally do so as well, we have been discussing the same since the new year.

The price appreciation could also be due to jerrybanfield joining which is a bullish sign for Blurt.

In this new year I hope we will leave behind the past in 2022 and more towards more positive and collaborative communication, “fake stake” and “robbing the rewards pool” narratives aren’t constructive, neither are they accurate.

You will see that Socialgraph only powers down a little to pay the team, the rest is subsidised by Blurtbooster. We haven’t sold tokens and main members saboin, jacob and myself dont even power down, I have not personally realised any gain from Blurt since inception, so not sure where you get the idea from.

Narrative eh? :) we'll see about that.
