Dear @steemzzang, thank you for your post. I wish to clarify a few things, so I feel it is important to know that users came to me and pointed out that your accounts are part of a voting group that seem to be farming rewards by upvoting content that is not really contributing to good readership on the Blurt blockchain.
It was not me that sought you out, but I received concerns from some users. I then posted that message above that you screenshotted, into a private abuse channel where abuse fighters discuss such matters.
Sadly you cut off the parts where it shows that I requested a discussion, please see below for full context.
This account has been brought to my attention https://blurt.blog/@dodoim
seems to be posting low quality
for rewards farming
and might be part of a greater group
of cjsdns, dodoim, oldstone, steemzzang
please can we have some discussion as to whether we add just dodoim to COAL or all of them.
@jakeminlin responded and I said the following:
COAL is for farming as well
The thing is users creating vote rings are damaging the moral of other users
I have seen two users today, one saying they will leave if bots and vote rings of low quality content persist, the other said they wont write anymore quality content and will do shit posts instead because those are the ones being making money.
I see that you speak for them @jakeminlim just as you came to us on behalf of cjdns in DM so please appeal to them to use their power to curate widely to encourage the community, not just vote their own circles, they will errode the community and the value of Blurt if they remain looking towards self-gain rather than being good stewards of content on the platform and supporting deserving users.
At this point @jakeminlim replied and I in turn said this:
Thank you for mediating, I am all for using Blurt as a personal journal but there is no need to self/group vote simple entries to 400 Blurt +, if they can understand the network affect their holdings can have, their eyes will be opened to the possibility of what Blurt can become. They still earn very well from curating, a simple vote for a deserving author is even easier than writing short posts aimed at self reward and they can be heroes amongst the community, revered with great honour.
I am not sure if @jakeminlim conveyed my sentiments to you but I was appealing that you use your stake to become a hero in the community and vote widely rather than just vote your circle with big rewards for small content. You could have great honour in the community and it would push up confidence and push up price. If users see reward farming they will want to leave and two have already said they would.
I also wish to clarify that yes you did offer to purchase 1 BTC BLURT direct from the foundation via message from @jakeminlim, however the reason we did not accept the offer was because the offer price was 0.01 USD at the time the BLURT price had already appreciated over 0.02 USD so we could not sell it at half price. The offer was made on behalf of @cjdns so I presume @steemzzang and @cjdns are both your accounts.
So while I thank you for wanting to be further invested in BLURT, you can understand why we would not sell BLURT for much less than it was worth at the time.
