The utilization of crop is highly important in any type of season which also lead to a very good production even when you put your best in the pre-planting and also doing the farm activity as it is being expected. The farm activity inclusive a very thorough weed preparation and cleaning. Sometimes we always feel that it does not need to be exclusive in weeding. But I can assure you that even when you carry out this task out of low esteem it will later come back for you in a very big way in the sense that, when you carry out this task you need to make sure that it is definite. To me it means that it must be clean and clear. You can also use all the already weeded portion too mulch your cultivated crop which I also did to my white eggplant.
This mulching has always been a very good practice ever since I have been using it from time past in the sense that it helps my crop to advance in production slowly. Dara many type of crops that you can cultivate which also need to undergo this practice. If you are growing yam of different species you need to carry out this operation on your farm. If you are also into tomato likewise pepper and some other green vegetables you must carry out the mulching exercise if not in a very big way. But I went to the farm with my little kid and she helped me out to figure out the wedding process which has also been of help from so many weeks ago. We had no rainfall but yet the farm is growing up with the help of this artificial irrigation system.
This is why even when you are cultivating any type of crop you must engage yourself in the use of artificial irrigation system of any type. It will assist you to grow your crop at any point in time. Even it helps during the dry season. I took some pictures of this event when it was going on. I also like to talk about the new cultured farming which I call the white eggplant farming. I will love to introduce this into our farming system here in West Africa gradually because it's not a common type of Farm system you can just see in your neighborhood. I've been traveling for one place to another but seeing eggplants Farm is not so easy to come back.
- so many people as been asking question that why am I even going into this type of cropping system or Farming? I also replied them that I have always been expectant in planting of different types of crop which is not common to our own immediate environment which we also give the community a very healthy food and it will also reduce poverty rate. Sometimes they go I also planted carrots but I'm going to retry the planting as soon as possible again. So it is good to practice different types of crop cultivation system.
Although when it comes to the eggplant production you need more record keeping so that it will help you to plan your farming ahead of time. It will also give you a lot of space and time to adjust your agricultural Farmland or the use of mobile Seedbed.
I use both agricultural Farmland and the mobile seat belt to plant they white eggplant and the results is extremely amazing and interesting. When you follow the guidelines it will always give you 80% good production. Which means that has time goes on you will put more efforts in your production and your record keeping will serve as a reference guide.
- This is my little kid also rendering her best she can do to assist on the farm. When we got the farm the first thing she did was that she asked me what help can she offer. I was extremely surprised because even at our age I did not know what a little girl of 2 year old plus is thinking very fast when we got to the farm.
After a lot of debate whether to give her the Hose or not she finally went ahead and started the ask on her own. The only thing I did was to switch on the tap water.
What I really observe was that it is good to expose your children to what you do. Professionally if someone has ever walk up to me and tell me that all these activities will begin my response will be no. But as Time goes On when I learnt that exposing children to either handiwork, or Art and craft or painting, farming,drawing etc they quickly learn very fast. It has also happened to me so many years ago.
This knowledge help me to survive up to this present time. And I will always be grateful to my parents for exposing me to farming and agriculture and many more at my early stage of life.
