In agricultural mindset there are different types of green vegetables with different nutrients likewise different types of planting techniques. There are some green vegetables mainly what you need to do to their seed is to plant them directly into the soil. Whereas you have some you need to parboil it for few minutes so as for the hard seed to get slightly or fully soft for planting. Yes this are part of the rules and guidelines you must follow when planting this kind of green vegetable. When you are about to plant it you also need to give some analysis so that what you are about to do will keep in line with the good production of the leaves as well as the seed when the time comes.
There is always time for the planting of the green vegetable seeding you can plant it anytime and it will start growing up gradually day by day. Sometimes you may not be familiar with what you see and yet you may call it weed because it is not consumed in your own country or in your own tribe or in your own state. I took these pictures while I was on the farm doing some green vegetable harvesting for this purpose.
- This is a particular time of rain vegetable that is called Ebolo in Yoruba language.. It is consume by all parts of the country because when you move to the northern part of Nigeria you can also find it growing up. Just like in the Western part of Nigeria. But even western part of Nigeria it is not too common because most people do not really know much about it. So the awareness is not extremely high.
- This is the Lagos spinach although it also has so many names depending on the country. So when you see it in the market it is also very good for consumption and it is edible. Dara so many green vegetables that are nutrients supplier to the body that must people are not exposed to.
- This is the African spinach that most people are used to. When you go to the local market you will find them in mass because it is widely recognized.
- This is how it is been fetch from the plant originally so that even when it is being cut off it will start to grow back naturally on its own.
This is what you do you bend the top most part of the appetizer to the stomach vegetable that is very soft and succulent and you cut it off with either your hands or with knife or any sharp objects as describe in the pictures below and above.
- When you see it in this form you can always trim it so that you will have it with so many branches on the same plant.
