Come on Blurt! 🤬 You can do better than this 💩!!!

i'm not against any and all "restrictions" or "fees" or any other rules and or regulations

as long as they are hard-coded rules fees and or restrictions

the definition of anarchy is that all rules apply equally to all members without any exceptions

no exceptions

no need for a vigilante police force if you put everything in the code

the problem with marky and the crew at hive is that they spent all day saying they downvoted "low effort" stuff and then still gave huge upvotes to obviously "low effort" stuff

i don't care what rules you want to add to the code

UNIFORM ENFORCEMENT IS ESSENTIAL

I agree I have the exact same beliefs like I don’t think upvu should be targeted but if we believe bot services could make the platform less enjoyable for the majority of users I believe it’s perfectly acceptable to change the way the platform / trending page works for example. That’s a site / coding change and the exact argument I was having with @practicalthought that I don’t believe in singling out anything other than to use as an example of what might benefit the platform when it comes to change. I am fine with rules changing to better the platform as long as they apply to all. If ppl rly don’t like the platform rules because they like to plagerise or use bots etc etc they can use another platform etc I personally believe site rules and platform changes are very different to people being able to be silenced / unable to earn etc on a platform but that’s just me

100%

however, every time someone says "plagiarize" a red-flag goes up for me because everything i write comes from somewhere else and often "citing sources" changes the context of the message in a way that makes it less effective

I guess there is a difference between being inspired and using someone else’s work to make money. Like say I paint a piece of art and someone takes it off the internet and gets £25,000 for it by selling it to an ad agency, is that’s ok? I remember once a photographer I knew of got their work stolen that was a self portrait when they were 13 and it got used on the cover of some porn video. How do you feel about things like that ?

great examples

here's the answer

there was an episode of startrek where the crew visited a colony of clones

after they left this colony they discovered that some stomach lining cells had been removed from three of the crew members

the removal of these cells was painless and caused no undue burden or discomfort to these three crew members

and it was basically sheer luck they even noticed what happened

how do you think they reacted ?

well,

they flew straight back to the colony and invaded them, without even trying to speak to them

they just beamed straight into the main cloning laboratory and started shooting the place up

and then they left

who do you personally think was "in the wrong" and who do you personally think was "in the right" in this case ?

I mean cloning isn’t quite the same as taking something from someone and making money from it. Cloning I guess is like drawing something that looks similar to what someone else drew. A clone will always be slightly different. A better comparison would be they kidnapped someone lol

well, copying someone's idea and or artwork

is like taking an infinitesimal piece of someone's stomach lining

without causing that person any noticeable inconvenience

the impulse to retaliate

is based on pure ego

and is not proportionate to the actual "harm" they "inflicted" upon your person

you'll notice that my retelling of the story is also plagiarism
