The second part of the Survey for 2025 has begun !

Many of you wrote under the summary of the previous survey that continuing this survey is a good idea. We thought about it and came to the conclusion that in order for it to have arms and legs, we will continue but on new terms! 🙃

This time, voting is only for new users who joined our community in 2025.

This post will also be up for half a year (or until we get at least 143 votes like last time). After this time, we will compare the results with the previous survey and check the differences in the way new users come to us.

Cast your vote for one of the answers below. (Try not to give more than one answer).

You can answer in comment using a number. As before, more extensive answers are welcome!

Keep in mind that by leaving a comment here as new members of blurt, you are also introducing yourself to the entire community. So this can be a good boost for any new user to start with.

Please do not leave comments other than those with an answer 🙏

  12. other way (how?)

Any new account created in 2025 who responds in the comment, will receive a Vote from my account and from @mariuszkarowski account

I am asking everyone to share this post wherever possible.

Help us reach new users with the survey. If you see someone new coming, let them know to leave a comment here. You will help someone gain additional blurts to start with and gain recognition. You will also verify whether the person is a real user.

I want the survey to reach as many people as possible.

Additional posts promoting the survey, if you use the nickname @khrom & @mariuszkarowski in the content of promoting post, will also receive upvotes from those two account.

I encourage every newcomers to answer.

Hi Blurt Community. I had the pleasure of meeting Dan, @world-travel-pro while visiting Ankor Watt in Cambodia last year. He was very charismatic and friendly. He told me about this platform as a way to make a little income from my computer and what better way to do it than sharing information I find valuable.

My blog is titled Not4Normies as I plan on sharing information from bloggers and researchers from across the web that uncover the often unmentionable and unbelievable from the depths of the alt media and the world of woo! I just posted my first blog post. Here is a link below if you'd would like to have a look.

Thank you - Not4Normies

That is great. I love the name too. It was a pleasure meeting you and your girl last year. Wasn't sure you were gonna give it a try. That is awesome, you'll certainly get my support. I think you'll do well here, and I'm all for more of your kind of content on this platform. Welcome to Blurt!

Hello, I found out about the platform through a friend @cosmicboy123, although he was previously part of Steemit. In my free time I intend to write posts that serve to entertain and learn, I would like to be a reference on the platform. I will take care of the quality of my contributions and give the best of myself.
Greetings @popolvuh

@khrom
I already work on the Steemit Platform and learned about it from a close friend of mine.
And I believe that this platform will serve as an inspiration to work on. Thank you again. Stay well.

I searched on Google for social media platforms where I could post my art and earn rewards. Google suggested many sites, and one of them was Blurt. So, I joined it.

I bought the account.

I came to Blurt from the Steem/Hive dramas. At a point in time, I was also running a Hive witness but it was very costly. I was very active on Steem and the split left me confused.

i came to blurt for the same reason. too much drama and centralisation on hive.

Hello lovely. I was introduced to blurt by a friend few months ago. It’s a wonderful experience, meeting new friends and valuable contents on this this platform. I will endeavor to write contents that are valuable and engaging for the benefit of the community. Thank you.

The idea seems general to me theoretically but in practice I think it can generate a certain disparity when you have to evaluate the results.

Why? Simply because the flow of voting users in the previous survey is infinitely greater than in this second part.

Although the flow of BLURT has increased considerably as a result of several circumstances (not least the stagnation in the value of HIVE and STEEM) coincidentally recovered in the last week - coincidence or causality? - and the Meneame-style negative votes that a certain number of users are giving, I repeat, despite all this, I think that the new users who have arrived at BLURT in 2025 should not be too many.

It's only been 10 days!

Seems most people coming to Blurt now are from Hive, where they got downvoted and had their income removed. I feel much more comfortable here on Blurt and the people are way more open minded and nice, so I... go where i'm treated best. Blurt for me now.

@khrom Thank you very much for starting the second round, because it is very good for a new joiner.

Thanks to @imransoudagar. I was introduced to this platform through him. He maid an account for me and few bunch of my friends.

Just a note, you ask participants to avoid giving more than one answer, but the options are set up to make that very difficult:

  • I escaped from hive/steem downvotes
  • I learned about blurt on hive or steem

Almost everyone who escaped from hive or steem learned about blurt there, so many who answer 6 will also have to answer 7.

Good idea to collect data over another half year, and see if it's much different than the past half year.

well, not exactly, and that's the point. It gives information on how much blurt itself became attractive to attract users from hive and how much it was simply an escape from being oppressed by downvotes. Here is the important difference

My point remains, you ask participants not to choose 2 options, but make it very likely that they must. It makes no difference to me.

No, they rather need to think about what they choose more. Reason number 6 or reason number 7. If you simply saw that there was something like blurt on hive/steem and wanted to try an independent platform, you choose 7, and if your main reason that made you leave hive was that you were being harassed by downvoters, you choose 6.

In your case, 6 because you probably wouldn't have considered leaving hive and wouldn't have paid so much attention to posts about blurt if you weren't downvoted and the fact that you were downvoted made you pay attention to alternatives and decide to leave hive.

I think if we are able to bring blurt to $0.1 I am very sure this blockchain will be busier than Steemit at the moment 😍
