[EN/ES] We must be aware of our Voting Power

Recently I noticed that many people in the Hispanic community make votes without worrying about their Voting Power and perhaps it is a little ignorance on the subject. That is why I would like to explain the basics of this system so you can learn how to manage your votes and get the most out of your content curation.

The value of your vote is based on three pillars: the amount of Blurt Power you have in your account, the Voting Power and finally the weight you assign when voting. Regardless of the Blurt Power you have in your account, if you vote at 100% it is recommended that you only vote 10 votes per day so that in 24 hours the Voting Power recovers and you can continue voting with the best possible performance.

• What happens if my Voting Power drops too low? Your vote will have a much lower value than the real one because the Voting Power is too low and therefore you will be getting less return on those votes. My recommendation would be not to let the Voting Power drop below 70% and if you lower it more be aware that you will have to wait longer for it to recover.

• How can you make more votes per day? The solution is to lower the weight you give to the vote at the time of voting. For example, if you vote at 50% you can make 20 votes per day and in 24 hours you will have recovered the Voting Power.

• Where can I consult the Voting Power of my account? Personally I recommend Ecosynthesizer since Blurt Now does not give me the exact value that I see in the frontend. The address is https://ecosynthesizer.com/blurt/ in the central box you put your blurt user and press enter. It appears on the left below your user name and it is a green bar.

• What to do if my Voting Power is already too low? Wait, there is no other way. Depending on how low it is, you will have to wait more days. And to clarify that waiting means not to continue voting, you can continue posting and commenting, but without voting.

Another point I would like to highlight is that I have also seen newly created accounts voting without having Blurt Power. If your account does not have Blurt Power the votes you are executing have a value of zero, so you are doing nothing more than spending commissions on the vote transaction.

To end this post I would like to remind you that you must log in to your wallet regularly to claim the rewards of the topics that have already closed. You can log in to the wallet with the posting key which has enough power to claim the rewards and at the same time you will not be logged out. However, when you go to transfer you will be asked for a more powerful key.

Recientemente observé que muchas personas de la comunidad hispana realizan votos sin preocuparse por su poder de voto (Voting Power) y quizá sea un poco por desconocimiento en el tema. Por ello me gustaría explicar un poco lo básico de este sistema para que aprendan cómo administrar sus votos y saquen el mayor provecho de su curación de contenido.

El valor de tu voto se basa en tres pilares: la cantidad de Blurt Power que tengas en tu cuenta, el Voting Power y por último el peso que asignas al votar. Independientemente del Blurt Power que tenga tu cuenta, si votas al 100% se recomienda solo hacer 10 votos al día para que en 24 horas el Voting Power se recupere y puedas seguir votando con el mejor rendimiento posible.

• ¿Qué pasa si mi Voting Power baja demasiado? Tu voto tendrá un valor muy inferior al real por estar muy bajo el Voting Power y por ende estarás obteniendo menos rendimiento de esos votos. Mi recomendación seria no dejar bajar el Voting Power del 70% y si lo bajas más ser consciente que deberás esperar más para que se recupere.

• ¿Cómo hago si deseo ejecutar más votos diarios? La solución es bajar el peso que das al voto a la hora de realizarlo. Por ejemplo, si votas al 50% puedes hacer 20 votos al día y en 24 horas tendrás recuperado el Voting Power.

• ¿Dónde puedo consultar el Voting Power de mi cuenta? Personalmente recomiendo Ecosynthesizer ya que Blurt Now no me da el valor exacto que visualizo en el frontend. La dirección es https://ecosynthesizer.com/blurt/ en el cuadro central colocas tu usuario de blurt y das enter. Te sale a la izquierda debajo de tu arroba y es una barra verde.

• ¿Qué hago si mi Voting Power ya está muy bajo? Esperar, no queda de otra. Dependiendo de lo bajo que esté te tocará esperar más días. Y aclarar que esperar significa no seguir votando, puedes seguir publicando y comentando, pero sin votar.

Otro punto que me gustaría destacar es que también he visto cuentas nuevas recién creadas votando sin tener Blurt Power. Si tu cuenta no tiene Blurt Power los votos que estás ejecutando tienen un valor de cero, ósea no estás haciendo nada más que gastar comisiones en la transacción del voto.

Para finalizar el escrito me gustaría recordar que debes conectarte a tu wallet de forma asidua para reclamar las recompensas de los temas que ya cerraron. Puedes iniciar sesión en la billetera con la posting key la cual tiene un poder suficiente como para reclamar las recompensas y al mismo tiempo no se va estar cerrar la sesión. Eso sí, cuando vayas a transferir se te pedirá una clave con mayor poder.
