I came across this old news of 11 months ago and wondered why it took me this long before hearing it. I realized that the news did make waves because the surgery was performed in a teaching hospital that is not in the metropolitan City.
According to the Hospital, the conjoined twins were successfully separated by a team of medical experts on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Ilorin university teaching hospital.
The baby girls were separated by a 66-member of Nigerian team pediatric surgeons pediatricians, pediatric cardiologists, anesthetists, cardiothoracisurgeonson, nurses, pharmacists, behavioral scientists, and many more.

If this operation was performed in the Federal Capital(Abuja) or Lagos, etc. It would have made waves both home and abroad. The International communities need to know about this successful surgery. This is a means of selling Nigeria positively to the world.
This is a news that CNN, BBC and France 24 etc should report and promote. However, we can not blame them for not broadcasting it. How many of our local stations really took time to visit and report it?
