I'm giving myself a boost in my quest to achieve 1,000,000 Blurt Power by the end of the year: a bunch of tokens my wife wasn't using. I'm now at 870,000!
@MediKatie is a busy young mommy nowadays, so I don't blame her for not using most of her Blurt blockchain votes. I powered her up with 10k or so when we started here a year ago, and she's earned a bunch more of her own, but she just doesn't have the time to curate. Fair enough! I'll take those tokens over to my account, power them up, and use them to accelerate my growth to a million.
Now is my goal possible?
I've been earning 10k every 18 days on average, which is a rate of 555 BP per day.
There are 152 days left in the year, so at the current rate I can earn another 85k BP. That would put me at 955k at the end of December. Plus, MediKatie has another 10k she can send me once they power down. If I can pick up the pace, there's still a way to reach my goal.
I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like recently, due to health issues and working hard to grow food. Have you seen my latest garden post?
My plan to increase my earnings is to post a bit more regularly (3-5 times per week), and to maximize my curation rewards by running my Voting Power down lower. I've been giving big upvotes to interesting comments I read, in order to use up more VP. But voting on posts generates a higher payout for the creator, and higher reward for the curator, so I should focus more of my voting on posts. Feel free to mention any high quality content-creators that you recommend for me.
I am now the 48th "richest" Blurt account, at 871,5000. I also have over 31k BP delegated to me by other users. It's nice to be curating with over 900k BP!

If your wife shuts down, you will reach the goal faster, although I think you should post a little more often to reach this million goal. This million will be my goal for next year. I hope I don't fail, and if I do, I'll be closer to making it later.
