I'm one of Blurt's biggest curators, but with health issues and young children, I don't always have hours to spend pouring over content. During 2024 I switched to a "lazy" curation style that still identifies and rewards quality original content, but doesn't take much effort. They get regular income, and I get somewhere to dispense my 10 upvotes per day. Here are my criteria:
- Blurt users who consistently make at least 2 posts per week and engage with the community in comments.
- Every post contains good quality original content written at least half in English.
I have nothing against users who post less than twice per week, or who don't really interact much with the Blurt community, or who use non-original content, or who post without English. I often curate content from such users. But they don't necessarily always get an automatic 100% upvote from me, the way the following users currently do:
His photography is very aesthetic, with very professional-sounding writeups. Much of his content is from Thailand and Australia and features landscapes, nature, architecture, and family.
Ray's posts feature a variety of subjects and tend to be half Spanish. His family is from Venezuela, and has lived recently in Chile, but he is currently on the move. His content is hand-written and usually includes images either from the internet or from his phone.
This Thai lady enjoys visiting local tourist spots in cute outfits, and photographing herself enjoying treats against impressive backdrops. Her photos are brightly colourful, and her simple writeups are pleasant.
Eric's posts are titled "Actifit", which I usually ignore, but I've come to enjoy his daily contributions. Almost none of his content is actually dedicated to Actifit, and instead he gives a summary of his day, the local weather, the global news headlines, a bit of opinion, and some photos of downtown London.
Her writing is genuine and interesting, with content about life, religion, spirituality, travel, and family. Nianaztengra is from India but also spends time in nearby countries. I sometimes withhold 1/4 or 1/2 of my full vote when her post is short or uses a stock photo, but otherwise give the full 100%.
I'm not always "lazy"! I do fully enjoy their content when I'm able to. But because they never post junk, and always post the kind of content Blurt benefits from, I don't have to. When I need to be lazy, these users are there for me. I often dish out 4 or 5 upvotes like that per day, then manually find other posts (and comments) for the rest. Feel free to follow and support them along with me. Also, provide suggestions for other Blurt users who might fit my criteria, and I'll check them out. Keep up the great creation and curation!

Wow, thank you so much for including me on your list! 🙏✨ You've been supporting my content for such a long time, and I can't express how much that means to me. 💖 It's truly rewarding to know that my posts bring value and joy, even if you forgot to mention my love for cats in your description – hahaha! 🐾😄
I also want to take this moment to say that YOU are such a driving force for Blurt. Your journey to reaching 1 million BLURT Power has been nothing short of inspiring, and your posts documenting that progression were a huge source of motivation for me. 🚀💡 Now, with this series, you're continuing to inspire and strengthen our community even more. Thank you for all you do! 🌟
Thanks, baiboua! I appreciate your feedback.
Keep up the great work : ))
Thank you for your support and honor of mentioning my name in the list. It really means a lot. You have been supporting me since a long time and I value your contribution in my journey🤗
I enjoy writing and I do agree, there are times when my blog is short and I use images from pixabay. I have so much in my mind to write , but my challenge at times is getting those thoughts articulated in words, I try my best and because of that certain posts become short.
Thank you for keeping the faith in me and supporting me all the time.
Wish you a good day!
There's nothing wrong with shorter posts, or using stock images. I personally don't curate such posts at 100%, that's all. I think you add something of value with each thing you create, and hope you continue. : )
Oh wow, Thank you buddy for the continuous support you have been giving my posts. I know life can get busy especially for you with the young family and the health concerns you have gone through. I am grateful and appreciate every upvote and comment I receive from you.
Your investment and presence has made quite a difference on the Blurt platform. In future I do look forward to investing more in Blurt and keep the good work flowing.
Going forward for 2025 and beyond, I wish you and family the very best. Stay Blessed :}
I noticed in doing this that your profile is missing a couple things that most other profiles have. One is a description line (mine is "civilly-disobedient content-creator") and the other is a background image. They are certainly not required, but in some cases they do help create interest in your blog. Just a thought, perhaps you purposely left it the way it is and that's great.
Thank you for the feedback and well-wishes! All the best to you as well. It's going to be a great year!
