Pukat Tarek (pull) is a tradition of catching fish using long nets up to hundreds of meters that are pulled by boat from land to sea. After the net is moored, the end of the net rope is pulled in a circle to the ground. This is the indatu heritage of the Acehnese people that continues to be maintained and preserved until now. Later, this tradition is better known as "tarek trawling".
This tradition is still maintained by fishermen in Aceh. At least three to four times a day, fishing groups of 10 to 15 people carry out shrimp trawling activities to support their families.
So far, trawling activities are open to the public, there is a difference between fishermen in the middle of the sea and trawling fishermen (by the sea). For trawl fishermen, usually strong winds and extreme weather do not affect their activities because they only play on the beach.
