It's almost a month of taking care of the goats that we've bought. As we were grazing the goats in different spots we observed that when we put them at the back of our house where some tall grasses grow rapidly the goats keep on making noise even though they have lots of grass to consume. But when we put them in front of the house where many vines grow they don't make so much noise as what they did on the back of our house. Based on what we have observed with them, they don't like being graze on an open field where they could be hit by the suns light. Though we put them near the bananas that we've planted do that they could hid under the shades of it, it isn't enough for them. They don't like it maybe because they would be disturbed when eating grasses. The heat of the sun would sometimes penetrate on some leaves of the bananas. So my husband and I decided that we would just graze tge goats on front of our house. In that way I could easily look for them even when I have something to do inside the house. So this morning we put the goats to the spot where there's no much sunlight. The goats were enjoying eating the vines. Though there are Fiddlehead ferns growing in that part the goats didn't touch those so I decided to get those young vegetable ferns so that we would have vegetables to cook for our lunch.
When the day ends, we put the goats inside the compound. I noticed that the stomach of the goats are so full. I love watching them with full tummy. But sometimes they won't get full especially if it rains suddenly so what we did so they don't get hungry we cut some Lantana plants and get cassava leaves to feed for them. They may not get full but I think it's enough for them not to get hungry while it's raining outside.
Before ending my blog, let me share to you the butterfly and bee sucking nectar of a flower. I captured this after picking the ferns but these aren't very clear photos still I want to share them with you.

In my home, this vegetable is called Pak Kut. It is boiled in coconut milk or stir-fried with oyster sauce and eaten with chili paste. It is very delicious.
