Welcome to a new publication that I bring you today with the purpose that it may be to your liking. I want to leave for everyone what I think regarding this question Should we focus our life only on work?, I know that simply saying no, we shouldn't might be enough for some, however, there are many things we could discuss from it.
A few months ago I stopped writing because I was too busy with my work, and although I am not that I am now more free than before, I can say that I have organized myself better and my time yields me a little more, I have learned to say no to certain things and now I can even on weekdays have some time to share my thoughts here with whoever likes to read me.
I can say that even though most will agree that our life should not revolve around work most of the time, in most cases it does.
We dedicate from our childhood years to academic training, and then we go to college or some professionalization course or we invest a lot of our life time to train ourselves in some way, we need to learn something to be able to work then have an income and then have the basic things that we are supposed to have.
That is to say, to a great extent our life revolves not only around work but also around training for it. And once we have been trained, we will work most of our days, even up to 6 days a week. Considering what I have said so far, how does it relate to that answer that not all of our life should revolve around work??
If we want to achieve certain things, we could say common, like being able to have a house (although this is increasingly difficult), to travel even once a year, to help our relatives, we have to work more and more, I am sure you are also experiencing this, and it is not an invention on my part, nor something that only happens to me, I would like to know what you think about this.
Beyond this reality, in which we are all very aware that work is not and should not be the only thing in our lives, we know that we dedicate little time to sharing with other people, we even dedicate little time to what we really enjoy doing.
So, I think my point in this aspect is clear, I know that our life, considering that we are special beings, with physical/biological, psychological, social needs, it seems that to a large extent everything revolves around work.
That is why I believe that, for the sake of our integral development, we should be in a job that we like, that we enjoy very seriously, considering that it is one of the activities to which we will dedicate the most time in our lives.
And of course, we must work, it is logical, it is not something I am going to debate, but I am very clear that our life should not revolve around work only, if we want to have a fuller life.
