Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are doing well by the grace of Allah, I am also doing well and healthy, Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah. I have come to you today with a very important topic, the topic of my discussion today is "Repair work is underway on the Jamuna River." You may know that Bangladesh is a river-based country, there are numerous rivers, canals, and beels in Bangladesh. Sometimes the Jamuna River is flowing, sometimes the Padma River is flowing, and sometimes the Meghna River is flowing, there are often many rivers, seas or sea beaches in Bangladesh, some of which are worth mentioning such as Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, etc.

Our house is located on the banks of the Jamuna River, you are aware that rivers sometimes break down, in the same way, the Jamuna River in our village has dissolved our entire village into the river. How many thousands of families have been destroyed by the Jamuna River and they are now living in houses far and wide. We have been able to inquire about many, but we could not inquire about many. It was not possible to inquire about everyone. Maybe they come to see their homeland or their residence sometimes, then we meet and talk to them.

The Jamuna River has come to our house border. We have no idea how many houses we have seen disappearing into the river before our eyes. Since Bangladesh is a river-based country, many times work comes to river development projects on big projects, in the last two or three years, a project to repair the Jamuna River has come in front of our house. Efforts have been going on for the last two or three years to repair the Jamuna River. This year, our river repair activities are going to be completed in full, God willing. We hope that the entire work will be completed in the next three or four months.

For a long time, the necessary things have been being made to repair the banks of the Jamuna River, such as making many bulagas. They are making sand bags with geo bags in the morning, sewing the bag's mouth with a machine, and spreading many geo bags, which is benefiting the river and the people a lot. They will build a barrier along the river bank so beautifully that no matter how big the flood, by the grace of Allah, the river will not break again and our houses along the river will remain intact, Insha Allah. If our houses break, we will suffer a lot, so I hope Allah Almighty will have mercy on us.

হ্যালো বন্ধুরা আপনারা সবাই কেমন আছেন? আশা করি আল্লাহর রহমতে অনেক ভাল আছেন আমিও আলহামদুলিল্লাহ আল্লাহর রহমতে অনেক ভাল আছি সুস্থ আছি। আমি আজকে খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি বিষয় নিয়ে আপনাদের মাঝে উপস্থিত হয়েছি, আমার আজকের আলোচনার বিষয় হচ্ছে "যমুনা নদীতে মেরামতের কাজ চলছে।" আপনারা হয়তো জানেন বাংলাদেশ নদীমাতৃক দেশ, বাংলাদেশে রয়েছে অসংখ্য নদী নালা খাল বিল। কখন আবার বয়ে চলছে যমুনা নদী আবার কখনো বয়ে চলছে পদ্মা নদী আবার কখনো বয়ে চলছে মেঘনা নদী, বাংলাদেশে প্রায়ই অনেকগুলো নদী সাগর বা সমুদ্র সৈকত রয়েছে, এরমধ্যে উল্লেখ্য কয়েকটি নদী রয়েছে যেমন পদ্মা, মেঘনা, যমুনা ইত্যাদি।

আমাদের বাড়ি যমুনা নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত, আপনারা অবগত আছেন যে নদীগুলোতে মাঝে মাঝে ভাঙ্গন সৃষ্টি হয়, ঠিক একই ভাবে আমাদের গ্রামের সেই যমুনা নদী আমাদের পুরো গ্রামকে নদীর মধ্যে বিলীন করে দিয়েছে। কত হাজার হাজার পরিবার যমুনা নদীর কবলে পড়ে ভেঙে গিয়েছে এবং তারা এখন অনেক দূর-দূরান্তে বাড়িঘর করে বসবাস করছে। আমরা অনেকের খোঁজখবর নিতে সক্ষম হয়েছি আবার অনেকের খোঁজখবরও নিতে পারিনি। সবার খোঁজ খবর নেওয়া কোন ভাবে সম্ভব হয়নি। হয়তো তারা তাদের মাতৃভূমি অথবা তাদের বাসস্থান দেখার জন্য মাঝে মাঝে আসে তখন তাদের সাথে দেখা হয় কথা হয়।

সেই যমুনা নদী ভাঙতে ভাঙতে আমাদের বাড়ির সীমানা পর্যন্ত চলে এসেছে। আমরা আমাদের চোখের সামনে কতশত বাড়ি নদীর মধ্যে বিলীন হতে দেখেছি তার কোন হিসেব জানা নেই। যেহেতু বাংলাদেশ নদীমাতৃক দেশ তাই অনেক সময় নদীর উন্নয়ন প্রকল্পে অনেক বড় বড় প্রজেক্টে কাজ আসে, গত দুই তিন বছর আগে আমাদের বাড়ির সামনে যমুনা নদী মেরামত করার জন্য প্রজেক্ট এসেছে। যমুনা নদী মেরামত করার জন্য গত দুই তিন বছর ধরে চেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। সর্বশেষ এই বছর আমাদের নদীর মেরামতের কার্যক্রম পরিপূর্ণভাবে হতে যাচ্ছে ইনশাআল্লাহ। আমরা আশা করি আগামী তিন চার মাসের মধ্যে পুরো কাজ কমপ্লিট হয়ে যাবে।
