My Son's Coronation: A King of Hearts (and a Parent's Pride!)

Hello buddies of Blurtians! I am new to this society and excited to get to meet you all.I hope you are all well, and I am looking ahead to making some new friends here.Today I want to relate a tale about my son's coronation as the "King of Hearts." It all began with a fun project at his school during their Valentine's Day celebration; the aim was to create a school memory project for every grade level. The students in my son's classroom chose their King and Queen, and they picked my son to represent their class!

The rules were straightforward:Money talks!Parents were advised to "canvass" their friends and family to donate money placed in a white envelope with the child's name on it. The student who raised the most money at the end of the canvassing period would be declared King or Queen. Leading up to the final count, I tried my best to gather some money from my pals, but I only managed to gather 500 pesos. I was beginning to lose hope that my son would become king. But as a proud parent, I was not ready to give up! I opted to take money from my savings account, and in the end, I had 30,000 pesos to contribute. The final count showed my son to have the most: 30,000 pesos! The other kids had raised around 20,000 pesos, and in some cases even less. My son was declared the winner, and he became the King of Hearts!

Though I did make a substantial investment, the 30,000 pesos was repaid to me less a 10% cut. The money was used to pay for the school's memorial project, and every contributor had their cash repaid, less 10%. I was very proud of my son becoming King as a parent! I understand some parents would go above and beyond for their child, and I am not an exception. The next task was to locate him a King's costume. I determined to rent one, which cost 500 pesos. Seeing your kid happy is well worth every cent, right?

Thank you for reading my story; it's a reminder that even the most basic school events may be impactful experiences. Everything depends on the happiness, the love, and the memories we build together.
