The power of influence should never be neglected, I can vividly remember meeting a 100level student called Kelvin, he was very naïve and innocent looking, as a fresher he needs to be guided and directed to different places and segments of the school.
During discussions with this young man, I noticed he had more positive expectations about the school and his environment which was great, he had aims and goals about his stay in school and he was a curious person.
After a long conversation with him, I figured out he was a still young and unexposed like a child .
But he met the wrong people, people that only impacted him negatively. I believed he had a choice, but he decided to follow the wrong peers.

The last time I met Kelvin it was in his 200level, when I saw this young man I felt cold and weak, I cried out of pity. I took time to observe and I was told he was asked to stay with his cousin who smokes ,and also involves in many negative activities . Obviously, the dreams of finishing is studies successfully is almost dead and it will take a supernatural intervention to carry on.

Peer pressure and influence can is very powerful, the kind of people we stay around can either add positively or negatively to our lives. Among young people, drug abuse and womanizing is as a result of peer pressure , peer pressure has destroyed alot of lives and killed dreams and aspirations.
Majority of kids who abuse drugs and do alcohol is because negative impacts from friends .

Peer pressure can lead to major hindrance and death of young people, most young people don’t care about the consequences of their actions, they only care about the pleasure that comes with this activities . Young people should learn to keep reasonable friends with mutual beliefs and values, the power of influence is strong that’s why it’s believed that couples act and behave alike after staying together for years .

People allow themselves to be influenced negatively, because they want to fit in , be like peers they feel is better and live the life they feel is ideal too.
Peer pressure is dangerous and it kills dreams and purpose, say no to negative influence.

Young people should get support and open up to leaders they trust, don’t do it because you feel it’s pleasurable, do it because it’s right and you are convinced to do it.
Don’t do it because they make it seems normal, think about the consequences of that action.
Learn to say “no”, learn to say it with confidence and zero regrets.
Don’t let low self esteem keep you among the wrong people or peers, live your life like a king or queen.

Influence is tangible, the power of influence is real, you act like the people you stay around, same goal and aspirations, stay around people that would influence your positively in this evil world and have interest to see you grow and achieve your goals.
