I have never used any language other than English in my posts, so this new rule does not affect me. In fact, it helps me because it reduces the rewards to others, increasing the rewards to me!
And yet, I do not agree with the rule, for 2 main reasons. 1 is it is a form of censorship and control. 2 is I can no longer read your posts without using a 3rd party website! But like Yayogerardo said, there is nothing we can do about it. Unfortunately, this means I will probably not read many posts by authors who do not write in English, because that is an extra step and drain on my time, and I have always disagreed with any blockchain activity that requires 3rd party software.
I imagine the intention here was to reduce abuse... but it damages the experience for everyone, even the people not abusing.
Ray, I will still try and read your posts when I can, but I really disagree with this new rule.
What will they go after next, people who copy and paste a large segment of text onto each post, advertising their other projects, sharing links, banners, a signature? Because that too is a way to increase Blurtbooster rewards, without any extra effort. Is that the next rule? Then what, will they tell us we must use contractions like "can't" instead of typing "cannot", to stop people who type with extra unnecessary characters? Will they start to police our choice of words, claiming we are using more than necessary to convey our meaning or creativity? What's next? : (
I don't understand this, if you upload images or videos from a third party it's ok, but if you need to use a third-party tool to read the post it's not ok.
You can write anything it's a decentralized chain.
Users are only thinking about their own profit. should think about our chain.
Another issue for the chain-
On the technical side
If let's say 100 units of storage is required for one language
Then for others maybe 100-130 (different letters)
So for one-time fees and one-time reward
There is a lifetime copy stored of no use
So in the long term, the size of the blockchain will increase.
So what we expect to have in 2 years might be in one year.
Which means more costs for servers and hosting.
More time to recover.
And the cost is bared by the whole community for a lifetime which can be avoided by using a translation tool that does not duplicate.
Buster is not blockchain, it's a community run by Blurt Foundation, and the foundation always thinks about which will be better for the chain.
Now we have to write in one only language if we want to be in the Blurtbooster's whitelist.
Ohh so scary.
None "have to" and that's the point. Better to get more real organic votes from than automatic ones IMO. Either way this rule doesn't effect me either. I use web translation tools and that's fi e with me. This rule that was made up seems like from one who doesn't have the capacity to knoe how to use a translator tool.
So what they really sayig in short is this.
write the way I want or no votes for you.
As if not voting was any real dangerous that I had to conform to their will.
The detail, my dear friend, is that in the Hispanic community, there are no accounts with strong investment, and most of those who write try to do it in two languages to be seen by those who do have a strong vote and make the account grow much faster.
I still don't understand how content in two languages is affected when we find posts with a paragraph and 25 similar photos, or when a user writes a post every two hours... I think it's the same as a post with a translation included.
But... I only participate within the chain with a few daily publications. Only today I did two, one in Spanish and one in English, totally different, to see how it goes at the end of the day.
I am hispanic by nature but i grew up in the united snakes. So english became my first language and Spanish second. Of which, I had to learn more with more diligence due to my forced experience to be moved from one slave plantation field to another, ie. deportation aka kidnapping and human trafficking.
Don't let blurtbooster new rule dictate how you want your posts to be. There is no real consequence for writing in different languages.
Blurtbooster is an account created by megadrive and probably by someone else too. It is funded majority by blurt liquid acquired through curation from another account that is now dead which once had an outrageous BurtPower that was attained by code and not investing or mining. (Let that sink in for a min lol)
Enjoy it while it lasts, take what you can. The more you have the less "they" get in the long term. Not much we can do about what they do apart from pointing it out. But like I said, enjoy it while it lasts.
Blurtbooster will continue to upvote your content so long as you are not deemed as an abusive account by the foundation. Don't ask me what they would consider to be abusive apsrt from the obvious. Judging from their history, it could just very well be the truth is an abusive topic and you would be on their watchlist. Just look into @lucylin account in the past and you will see.
Jajajaa, no, because there is a new rule about this theme.
Now we have to write in one only language if we want to be in the Blurtbooster's whitelist.
However, you can talk about it on the discord channel and explain your reasons why writing in two languages benefits you.

100% agree buddy!!!! 💯
I absolutely cannot understand why they don't simply put a reward cap on the word count and number of photos - End of story!?!
That would do it!

So your native language is not English?

It is a pleasure to read your opinions.

Is it difficult to do a Spanish translation for you?
Oh ok. I didn't about that new rule. Thanks for that info.♥️
I don't understand Spanish. ☹️ But it is ok just follow the rule.👍
