Últimamente, he estado meditando un poco más acerca de muchas cosas por las que pasamos, y sin duda, pasaremos en el futuro, porque estas circunstancias inciden en nuestro carácter, es decir, en aquellas cosas que son necesarias aprender para tomar las mejores decisiones en el futuro cercano.

El tiempo pasa volando, no perdona ni pide permiso para hacer como quiere, y debemos aprovecharlo al máximo para lograr los sueños que tenemos guardados en lo más profundo de nuestros corazones.

¡Ayer fue un día fantástico! Pude llevar a mi madre a la clínica para que se realizara los exámenes que faltaban para que el cirujano evaluara su condición y estableciera una fecha para la operación. Es una cirugía ambulatoria, pues son dos hernias que debe operar, una inguinal y otra umbilical, pero al tener 77 años y 10 meses, es de mayor cuidado.

Justo ayer, me enteré de que mi madre jamás se había hecho un electrocardiograma; Ha sido una mujer sana desde que tengo memoria, emprendedora y rochelera, así que para ella, todo esto es nuevo.

No tiene sentido hablarles del costo de todo lo que se hizo ayer, de manera que no lo mencionaré, pero sí que después de salir de este compromiso, opté por tomarme un tiempo y caminar, algo que me permite pensar y reflexionar acerca de las cosas que ocurren en mi vida y a mi alrededor, con el objeto de prever cuál será mi siguiente pasa a dar.

Caminé por una nueva plaza esta vez. La plaza Santo Domingo, ubicada frente a la Escuela México, es una de las primeras plazas que conocí cuando llegué a Chile. Hay muchas plazas en la ciudad, así que, probablemente, vaya a cada una de ellas y tomar algunas fotografías y mostrárselas, contándoles un poco acerca de lo que hago durante el día.

Yesterday was a fantastic day! I was able to take my mother to the clinic to have the remaining tests done so that the surgeon could evaluate her condition and set a date for the operation. It is an outpatient surgery, since there are two hernias that must be operated on, one inguinal and the other umbilical, but being 77 years and 10 months old, greater care is required.

Just yesterday, I found out that my mother had never had an EKG; She has been a healthy woman for as long as I can remember, an entrepreneur and a rocker, so for her, this is all new.

It makes no sense to tell you about the cost of everything that was done yesterday, so I won't mention it, but after leaving this commitment, I chose to take some time and walk, something that allows me to think and reflect on things that happen in my life and around me, in order to predict what my next step will be.

I walked through a new square this time. Plaza Santo Domingo, located in front of Escuela México, is one of the first squares I visited when I arrived in Chile. There are many squares in the city, so I will probably go to each one of them and take some pictures and show them to you, telling you a little about what I do during the day.

Al quedar frente a una escuela, y diagonal a una iglesia, la cual le da el nombre a la plaza, hay presencia de personas que se tiran a la grama a descansar o escogen algún lugar para compartir o para estar solos por un buen rato.

Siendo que estamos en la primavera, los árboles que pierden sus hojas vuelven a vestirse de ese color verde, característico de esta estación del año, y el clima ha mejorado tanto, que no es necesario andan con tanta ropa encima, así que podemos disfrutar un poco más del sol y no andar tan acalambrados por las calles de esta hermosa ciudad.

Este lugar también es conocido por otros nombres, como plaza San Martín o Héroes de Iquique, conmemorando la Guerra del Pacífico, tiene un busto que pertenece a Arturo Prat, quien murió en esta guerra.

¿En qué pienso mientras doy mis caminatas? En muchas cosas, tanto importantes como frívolas, pues lo importante es pensar y ejercitar a nuestra mente, a pensar en grande, en las cosas verdaderamente importantes para nuestra salud emocional, física, mental y económica, pero no desde la carencia, sino desde la abundancia, cosas totalmente opuestas, pero que las separa una delgada línea que traspasamos sin darnos cuenta.

Ahora, me estoy enfocando en mi viaje a USA; Dejar todo preparado aquí antes de mi viaje me ha llevado más tiempo del necesario, pero no me afano por esto tampoco. Debo organizar el viaje de una de mis hijas desde Barranquilla a Chile, pues quiere pasar tiempo aquí conmigo antes de viajar. Veremos cómo resuelvo el asunto porque es más fácil comprar el pasaje desde aquí.

Al final de la tarde, me dio algo de hambrita y fue por un abreboca para amortiguar el asunto. Una hamburguesa con todo fue quien pago la expiación.

Con sus respectivas verduras, la carne casera, huevo cocido, jamón, queso de dos tipos, tocineta, filete de pollo, entre otras hierbas aromáticas más, pararon mi ansiedad por comer.

Así llegué a la casa relajado, sabiendo que, de hambre, no moriría esa noche, pues hice lo necesario para no morir por inanición.

Buscar nuevos temas para compartir, son uno de los elementos que toco durante estas caminatas, además de probar diferentes nuevas formas de tomar fotos, siguiendo los ejemplos que se muestran en las redes sociales, los cuales nos hacen parecer verdaderos profesionales al momento de hacer la toma.
