illusion of freedom, but before i dive in to this topic i would like to say GOOD DAY ...
LET'S first define freedom;according to jean- jacques rousseau define's freedom as the power to do what one wants, without being forced to do what one does not want.
freedom and confinement is any illusion of freedom ' while we may belive we have control over our lives numerous factros constrain our choices and shape our experiences. these constraints can be internal,such as our thoughts and emotion ,or external, like societal constructs and expectation .
At this point , i chose to share experience i had in my first visit at nigeria prison yard nsukka 25th december 2019
i paid a visit at nigeria prison nsukka where i noticed that their is world inside this life we are living , on our arrival we where told to stop our car and identify our self .
things looks easy because we were with a catholic priest who went very closely to the security men and told him that we are here for christmas visit .
they welcomed us , and told us to summit our phones at this moment i begin to fill scared because the way they are talking to us seems like we are prisoners ,as if that is the case we passed through gates before entering into the yard i saw men passing day and night without making rightful choice of there movement .
it's made of different blocks namely f1 f2 f3 f4 just like class room . one thing that petrified me is the way they worship , to the extent that some burst in to tears.
A word of encouragement was given by our priest ,followed by food items .
the security men also highlight his own experience as a security men that after releasing some of the imate they chose to come back as they have found life inside the prison and he conclude my saying that EVERY ONE IS A PRISONER JUST THAT WE HAVE NOT BEEN CAUGHT.
