It was the final scene of the movie The Butterfly Effect, which I shared on the web3 social platforms I use, which reminded me of the question “can never being born be the solution to all problems?”.
As far as I understand from the feedback, people are very sensitive about life and are aware of the consciousness of being born.
And they may have gotten the feeling that I was tired of living, that I was at the point of giving up easily in the face of the problems I faced. I am one of those who think that the difference between speaking and writing is to express our feelings more accurately, but sometimes writing can be a disadvantage in reflecting instant emotions.
As a reminder, I watched the movie again, which successfully deals with complex topics such as time travel and parallel universes and does not have any difficulty in drawing the audience into the story.
I can say that I forgot most of the scenes and felt like I was watching it for the first time. Looking at the passage of time, I find this quite natural; if I didn't, I'd think I was getting senile.
A harbinger of the signs of old age. Lol
The character Evan, who had a traumatic childhood, manages to go back to that day and change the negative things that happened thanks to the diaries he recorded in his childhood.
We are familiar from similar productions that every change made in the past also changes the future. When Evan becomes an adult, when he realizes that everything he changes from the past actually makes the future darker and worse, and that things have become inextricable, we are confronted with the final scene that I started this article with.
In fact, this confrontation is not just a scene, because our minds start to question the decision Evan's character makes. Is the solution to problems really to have never been born?
I think the answers will vary, but despite everything, we have an obligation to enjoy life and overcome problems. This is one of our responsibilities in terms of individual, family and moral values.
Even though the movie deals with themes such as time travel and parallel universes, I think the main theme is that the idea that a small change leads to big consequences is supported in every scene.
When Evan is forced to choose between accepting things as they are or going to any lengths to change them, finding the solution that will permanently leave both options behind creates a scene that will be remembered for years to come.
In fact, if I go back to the beginning of the story, Evan seems to be a selfish character who does not hesitate to change the lives of others for his own happiness. The final scene portrays a man who sacrifices himself for the happiness of others.
The story of the same character from selfishness to self-sacrifice was like a proof of the development of Evan, the character that stands out in the movie. It would not be wrong to say that Evan is special compared to the other characters he first acts selfishly and then sacrifices. You not only watch but also feel his specialness.
I recommend you to watch The Butterfly Effect, with a story that makes you think a lot and handles the theme of time travel in a different way. In addition, the movie is full of teachings about facing the big consequences of the small decisions we make, and it has a story that manages to complement the psychological thriller genre with a character's step-by-step journey to despair.
Thank you for being here and for reading. Take care and goodbye!

It's quite interesting how Evans eventually became a different person. At some point in one's life they'll come to realize that when you have something or someone to die for, that is when you actually start living. Quite a beautiful review.
