Dear BeBlurtians & Blurtians,
As we approach the end of July, I would like to take a moment to provide the current development status of BeBlurt and the milestones achieved.
3,000,000 BLURT POWER for manual curation
I'm really pleased to announce that @beblurt has reached a significant milestone by accumulating 3,000,000 BLURT POWER dedicated to the manual curation of posts on the Blurt blockchain.
This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the generous delegation from participants in the BeBlurt Delegation Program. In exchange for their support, they receive 85% of the curation rewards. To learn more about how the BeBlurt delegation program with rewards distribution works, I encourage you to read this post: Are you ready for this Delegation Program with dashboard?
A special note of gratitude goes to @oneray for his many valuable contributions to the manual curation efforts on BeBlurt especially for the Spanish posts.
This month, @beblurt has already distributed 14,423.004 BLURT as curation rewards to the authors of 576 posts that were manually curated by BeBlurt curators. This underlines the commitment to fostering quality content and supporting creators within the Blurt community.

BeBlurt's evolution
We're approaching an important milestone as the number of authors using BeBlurt to write and publish their posts, whether regularly or occasionally, approaches the hundred mark. This month looks set to see further growth in the number of posts and an increase in app visits, a trend I'm delighted to see.
Week after week, more and more of you are adopting BeBlurt as your preferred platform for content creation, and I sincerely thank you for that. Your trust and support have played a key role in BeBlurt's evolution.
Thank you for being a part of the BeBlurt journey. I look forward to reaching new heights together!
Tip of the Day
In case you missed it, here's a helpful reminder about BeBlurt's Push Notification system, which was introduced in version 1.3 as mentioned in this post BEBLURT | v 1.3.0 | Fixes, minor updates & Bonus.
As BeBlurt is a progressive web application (PWA), it can handle push notifications and it's compatible with Windows, Android and Linux (not OSX or IOS).
The Push Notification feature is designed to keep you informed and updated about essential activities on the Blurt blockchain. With this system in place, you can receive real-time notifications for various events, ensuring you never miss out on important interactions and updates even if BeBlurt is not open on your computer or smartphone.
Here's a quick rundown of the key events for which you can receive push notifications:
Comments and Replies: Stay in the loop with timely notifications whenever someone leaves a comment or replies to your posts.
Contests Notification: This feature is under development and will allow the creators of contests to send notifications about their contests.
Delegation of BLURT Power: Be informed whenever someone delegates BLURT Power to your account. This helps you keep track of the support you receive from the community.
BLURT Transfer to Your Account: Get notified when you receive BLURT tokens in your account via transfers from other users.
Notification under assessment:
New Followers: Get notified whenever someone new follows your Blurt account. It's a fantastic way to stay connected with your growing audience.
Post Upvotes: Receive instant alerts when your posts receive upvotes from other users. Celebrate the appreciation your content receives! May be subject to a minimal upvote value.
Mentions: Never miss a mention! BeBlurt will promptly notify you whenever someone tags your username in their posts or comments.
To enable this feature and start receiving push notifications, make sure you have the latest version of the BeBlurt app installed on your device. Then, navigate to the account menu and select settings, then click on the Push Notification tab. From there, you can customize which events you want to be notified about.
For those on smartphones, here's the link on how to use BeBlurt on a smartphone (android/IOS)
I hope this tip helps you make the most of BeBlurt's features and enhances your overall experience on the platform. As always, we value your feedback, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts with us.
Development
As the end of July approaches, I find myself with an exceptionally busy schedule and a significant workload, which has resulted in some delays in the development of BeBlurt. Looking ahead, it seems that August will be equally demanding in terms of work commitments.
My main priority at the moment is the establishment of a Testnet for the Blurt blockchain, an essential step in facilitating BeBlurt's increasingly complex development, involving more and more of Blurt's Custom JSON operations, and its entanglement with the Nexus module (Blurt's Communities module, among other features) of the Blurt blockchain.
This Testnet will be accessible to all developers of dApps for the Blurt blockchain, providing them with a controlled environment to develop and test new functionalities for their applications. Importantly, any activities on this Testnet will have no impact on the production main chain.
What is a Testnet?
A Testnet is a separate, parallel blockchain designed specifically for testing and experimentation purposes. It allows developers to deploy and validate new features, applications, or dApps in a controlled environment without affecting the mainnet (the primary live blockchain). Testnets replicate the core functionality of the mainnet but utilize test tokens, ensuring that any issues or bugs discovered during testing do not impact real assets or transactions.
Upcoming Update
The onboarding module with affiliate management is currently on hold, pending its finalization and various functionality tests, which depend on the Testnet deployment. While we await this milestone, a minor update is just around the corner, including the following:
- Comment editing: Users will be able to edit their comments for improved accuracy and clarity.
- Comment history and replies: A list of comments made by users and the responses they have received will be accessible from the account page, promoting more engaged interactions. It will include the possibility of upvote/reply
- Some bug fixes: Various issues have been identified and addressed to enhance the overall user experience.
I know the importance of onboarding with affiliation and the impact it can have on the number of new Blurtians. However, its full implementation depends on the successful deployment of the Testnet, which is currently my top priority. Rest assured that as soon as Testnet is up and running, I will move swiftly to finalize and release it.
I appreciate your patience and continued support as I work diligently to ensure the stability and functionality of BeBlurt.
Stay tuned for more updates, and I look forward to delivering an even more robust and user-friendly experience with the next release.
How to check your BeBlurt version
BeBlurt is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) running in your browser so to help you check that you are up to date in the bottom menu the version you are using is displayed.
The application updates automatically in the background but you may have to close and reopen the browser page (or the PWA application for those who have installed it on a smartphone, see this post)
A Ctrl + Shift + R to force a refresh will also work.

Thanks for the update!
I never use push notifications, but if BeBlurt had a push notification for Voting Power hitting 100%, I would absolutely enable that!
Ok, so you'd be interested in receiving a push notification when your mana is at 100%, interesting, I'll have to see if it's easily achievable and let you know.
Absolutely. When VP hits 100%, you are effectively throwing away some of your vote (and rewards). It goes back to the reward pool, so the blockchain doesn't really care, but it does affect you and the people you support with votes. I don't currently know of any way to be notified automatically when it hits 100%, but that would be very useful.
By the way, I have been trying to post with BeBlurt for several months now, but I always get a "unknown user" error, and the post fails. Figured I should let you know. Thanks!
To provide notification when VP hits 100%, there are 2 ways to do it, and I need to test them to see if either of the two consumes excessive energy due to calculations from a specific state/time and memory usage.
Regarding the "unknown user" error, if you are using Linux, there seem to be some issues. I received some feedback, and I need to set up a testing system with Linux to investigate further.
If you are not using Linux and you are using the Whalevault extension, the first thing you can test is when you open the application and it indicates that you are logged in, try logging out and then logging back in (via the right-hand menu).
To better assist you, could you please let me know which operating system and internet browser you are using, and if you are using the Whalevault extension?
This error can also occur when the app cannot find the session variable and may also be related to a cached file in your browser that didn't update during a previous update. The latest version of the application is 1.6.0, and it is mentioned at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
Thanks for the info. Sorry I didn't include my OS in the last message. I'm on a desktop, using Windows 11 and Brave. I'm not using any extensions, add-ons, or password managers.
Thank you for providing the additional information. With these details, I have a good starting point and I believe I might have an idea about where the issue could be coming from. I'll do some tests to check and let you know.
Cool, I appreciate the response, and look forward to trying BeBlurt again.
Greetings,
Also, keep in touch with Blurtconnect-ng family on Telegramand Whatsapp
Peace
Congratulations @beblurt! 3 million blurt power is so huge! Thank you for your contribution in the community. Looking forward to the new developments.
Are you sure it works from Linux with Chromium or Firefox?
The push notification yes, now, for BeBlurt itself, I've had some feedback from Linux users encountering some problems with it, so when I manage to free up some time to re-install a Linux system on one of my Raspberry PI I'll have to take a look.
Raspeberry PI is a particular system that does not always adapt to the generality of the Linux kernel.
I use one of the official Ubuntu derivatives and I really like the BeBlurt interface, the new communities that have been created, the graphics, etc. but I can't subscribe to them and I can't publish. I can log in without any problems, though.
Anyway it's very commendable your commitment to develop this new frontend.
Greetings and thanks on behalf of the whole community,
Oh, I prefer not to use Raspbian on my Raspberry PI due to certain compatibility issues with some of my specific applications, such as the one for extended outdoor WiFi. Instead, I opt for Ubuntu Server, or if I need a desktop environment, I go for Ubuntu Mate. Currently, all four of my Raspberry PIs are occupied with tasks related to the preparation of the TESTNET and other projects. Hence, I'll have to wait a little longer to get a free one for testing purposes.
You are right, no problem, I see that you already have enough work to develop.
Ubuntu MATE is a good Ubuntu derivative. It was originally created by a developer from my native country (I have double nationality Italian-Argentine) hence the name MATE which is the most widespread drink in this country.
Greetings and good sunday.
Congratulations! 🏆
You have recieved a coconutty upvote! 🥥
Thank you for contributing to the Blurt Blockchain!
Keep up the great work!
