Yep, most people just hand over their personal details because they've been conditioned to do so. Even if a site asks me for my email address (let alone phone number, selfie, etc), I consider that kyc as well. These days we have pki so there's no need to ask anyone for their email or other identifying info.

I believe this is exactly how to use a Graphene Chain such as BLURT... use it as a web 3 interface to avoid handing over the KYC details (the OLDEST Trick in the Book) but instead use asynchronous cryptography to keep controls where they belong... don't lose your Key and especially don't lose your Key... otherwise we STAY in the 20th century and hand over ALL OF OUR DATA to Information Overlords. 😐
