Ketak craft or wicker wicker Dasan Baru Village, Kopang Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency is able to penetrate the global market. Ketak is exported to countries in the Middle East region to east Asia, such as South Korea.
Isnaini, one of the craftsmen said, the product has been sent abroad.
"Last time we sent this ketak to Korea through online sales," he said on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Craft made from rattan ketak is made into a variety of handicraft products.
"Here we make bags, then place tissu es, flower pots, baskets, and much more," he said.
They used to make craft into the model desired by consumers. Many orders come from hoteliers in Lombok and various regions in Indonesia.
As of now, Isnaini is working with several hotels in Lombok that need in disdpapam. "Like some hotels in Mandalika, it is currently ordering craft to us," he said.
They booked a tissue place, trash can, umbrella place, basket, and some snappy crafts to decorate the hotel room. They hope the craft of ketak is growing and more and more enthusiasts.
