December continues to be great with another nice run through the forest on some of my more enjoyable trails - this time almost 7 miles on the Homestead Trail and spurs around Lynx Lake.
These trails are anice mix of some sweet climbs and twisting single-track along with sections of wider and smoother trail where I could pick up the pace before heading back onto the single-track.
The first couple of miles were along the paved path along the western side of the lake and then up a long uphill to where I joined up with the trails.
From there it was trails that eventually bottomed out at the lower sections of the creek where the trail climbed steeply up the ravine before rejoining the Homestead Trail back to the start.
Not the fastest trail run but my legs felt great, even on the later climbs - as I look forward to the Across the Years in a few weeks.
