I ran further and better today as my legs are getting back to normal. I've decided to be a fool and will run (hopefully well) in the Fat Ox 24 Hour down the road in Phoenix in a week and a half. I'm not sure if I'll be up for a 100 km or more but I'm feeling motivated to put in those hours and see what happens.
Once again my run was a simple road loop with the first 3 miles looping around our morning walk route before a gentle half mile climb into a quiet residential neighborhood where it cruised along on fairly flat roads before one tedious climb up along a busy highway.
I finished up with a nice quick final stretch back down to my home for another 6+ mile total so my endurance at a decent pace has me hopeful for my future races.
A fun 3 miles around Lynx Lake with Lulu with just a handful of other folks for company.
There weren't many songbirds up in the trees but there were a good number of ducks and a couple of tarantulas out and about which added interest to our 3 mile loop
