My recovery from my 52 mile ultra this past weekend is coming along nicely and despite my legs still being a bit tired I was able to run a good 10 km around the neighborhood.
I'm still sticking to road routes for now until my legs are back to normal but I'm considering trying my luck in another 24 hour try in a couple of weeks down in Phoenix. This one would be a flat mile loop around a beautiful park on a paved walkway so the conditions would probably be ideal.
Now back to today's run - it didn't take long for me to loosen up and the first 3 miles on the road went by quickly. The next couple of miles were on the dirt and again my pace was very good and the effort wasn't too difficult.
I finished up with a speedy leg to home and a smile on my face.
