Well my legs are feeling a lot less stiff and sore today after 52 trail miles Friday and Saturday over in NM. I'm hoping that I'll recover completely in a few days and be able to start cranking out good mileage in preparation for my New Year's Eve 24 hour next.
My diet will take a few days before I'm back to a good ketogenic mode after plenty of carbs this weekend to keep me fueled in the ultra as my Forerunner calculated my calorie expenditure at a bit over 6000 calories.
I figured simply looping around on our morning walk route would be my best option since it was fairly flat, with the half mile or so field loop being a gentle up and down trail.
It was a bit slow going for the first mile but I was feeling much better once I was on the dirt moving along at a relaxing pace. I decided to try for at least 3 miles but felt good enough for a good 4 and a half before heading home for lunch and a Lynx Lake hike later on.
