This time next weekend I'll hopefully be resting my tired legs and enjoying a beer or 2 after 24 hours on the trail around Tortugas Mountain.
However today was a day for another good road run to get in those last bits of training before then.
Lulu was in the mood for a very slow morning walk and had to pause at every little bush to sniff and pee so I was constantly urging her along. It was a nice and sunny cool Autumn morning so even a slow paced walk was a nice start to the day 🌅.
My main run was nothing spectacular as it was a simple loop around the back roads that are usually quiet on the weekend. It's always nice to be able to relax a bit and not have to watch out for the cars.
Lynx Lake was quiet with tranquil water for an afternoon 3 mile hike. It's quite a change from the packed shoreline during the Summer and was perfect for a stroll.
Even a Tarantula was out on the trail and wasn't too happy when Lulu stopped to check it out - however these native spiders aren't really dangerous and we all soon resumed our separate walk.
