I'm now just over a week away from my next ultramarathon challenge at the Tortugas Mt 24 hour trail run down in southern New Mexico. No sense to over train at this point and since we still don't have our car (getting it back tomorrow 😁😁😁) my runs are simple ones around the local area.
We had a hard freeze overnight so I had to wear pants and my fleece jacket for the morning walk as it was still below freezing when we headed out.
It warmed up quickly enough so that my mid-morning main run was very comfortable with sunny skies and mild temperatures to keep me comfortable.
It was nothing special as I simply looped around on the same route that I use for our morning walk so, just added on several more laps around the large field to stack up the miles.
I finished up with a decent 6 plus miles albeit at a bit slower pace as I am beginning to ease back a bit as the ultra approaches.
Looking forward to finally getting back to our hikes around Lynx Lake tomorrow.
