Monday started off cool with the thermometer at just over 40 degrees F at dawn and it was still comfortable as I headed out for, what I hoped, would be 4 or 5 good miles.
My legs weren't feeling especially strong but my route would be around my morning route so there wasn't any major climbs and after a mile on the flat roads I was feeling better.
I then looped around and around the approximate half mile dirt path around the open field until I had covered just over 4 miles. Then it was a quick mile on the road back home.
I planned to run along at a slower pace to see how I wanted to run to start the 24 hour this weekend so it was fine (I'll be walking most of the hours anyhow).
Wrapped up my day with the "usual " 3 miles around Lynx Lake. Lulu got plenty of loving ❤️ attention from people as well as a nice hike on a beautiful autumn afternoon.
Tomorrow will be my last serious run this week - I'll be heading off early Thursday morning.
