I was feeling more rested today after a sound sleep, so even with another hot day, I was able to run well.
The humidity was higher today after heavy thunderstorms overnight snd the bright sun quickly warmed up the day. I decided to do a simple run along my normal morning loop and just circle the 4/10 mile field loop over and over until I had run enough.
I really worked up a good sweat even though my pace wasn't great, nor was the course hilly. My Hdrop sensor figured I was losing a liter an hour so I hydrated well when I got home.
Overall it was an OK run but I'll be glad when I can comfortably run double this mileage every day.
The sky was quickly clouding up with dark storm clouds when I took Lulu over to Lynx Lake for a bit of a hike.
I didn't want to get caught in a downpour so we headed down the paved western path. As usual Lulu was in and out of the water and having a great time while I enjoyed a relaxed walk.
We made it a mile down the trail before a cold wind hit us and the sky blackened with thunderheads and we quickly made our way back.
Heavy raindrops were just starting to fall as we reached the car and wrapped up a busy and active day.
