I was feeling better today after a good night's sleep dor a change. We've been busy beginning to clean out a lot of our RV stuff so that we'll be ready to leave Arizona early next year as well as trying to clear out fleas from a bunch of feral cats living nearby in a couple of abandoned mobile homes.
It was another hot day today with the temperature already above 90 degrees at Lynx Lake as I got ready to hit the trails.
I started out along the easy paved Lynx Lake trail before hitting the long climb up to the actual dirt single-track Homestead Trail, which I would follow for another 4 miles.
Fortunately the heat lessened as I traveled among the tall pines and my pace wasn't too bad with the hilly and twisting route but the last climb up from the creek to the finish was tough.
A little hike up at Granite Lake later with Lulu but that was nice and easy and a great end of the day.
