My tired legs from yesterday were lively enough for a longer 6+ trek along the single-track Homestead Trail that winds above Lynx Lake and creek.
It was a fairly slow and stiff climb up the first uphill mile heading out from the southshore lot up to the 315 trail. From there iI did well although not that fast. A light rain from 2 to 3 miles cranked up the humidity but it cooled me a bit as well. Tough winding climb from the creek at mile 4 back up to the northshore road before the flat and easy sprint along the west shore paved trail.
The lake shore path was fairly busy but the rest of the Homestead Trail was empty except for me which was great - nice to cruise along through the forest by myself.
Hopefully I'll feel bit better tomorrow but I may just take a break from running and go hiking with Lulu instead. Just have to see what I feel like.
