I had planned on a trail run around the Goldwater Lakes area but I got going a bit later and ended up running a longer road loop around the neighborhood instead.
I started off a bit slow with the first mile covering my morning walking route as my quads were tired but my pace and energy picked up over the next uphill to flat mile and I did well from then on.
Had a little bit of a struggle on a couple of short but steep climbs that had me down to a crawl but the last mile or so was a great downhill which seemed to perk up my tired quads.
Didn't quite make it to 6 miles but a very good run.
I had a bit of energy left and treated Lulu to a 3 mile loop over at Granite Basin to relax and get in those 20,000 daily steps.
I'll be glad when my legs have adjusted to the extra mileage but until then I'll just keep plugging away.
