Another beautiful day running out in the Prescott National Forest with a 5 mile trail run on the hills around Lynx Lake.
I wasn't sure how my body would feel after my humid run yesterday but I was able to move right along from the Southside parking lot at Lynx Lake up the long road hill for almost a mile before branching off onto the fun single-track Homestead Trail.
The trail was really exciting with plenty of variety but not too technical where I had to watch every step.
It felt good to relax and try to work the hilly sections and notice how much stronger I'm feeling this month. Hopefully I'll continue to improve so that I'll be able to RUN an ultramarathon next year.
Finished up the run with a fast mile or so on the flat Lynx Lake path.
Lulu got her hike in afterwards with a couple of miles over at Granite Basin - an easy hike around the Metate Trail and finishing up at the lake for a dip - life is GOOD 😄.
