My Actifit Report Card: July 25 2024

We all slept poorly last night so we got a later start thus morning and I was feeling tired. Fortunately Lulu was eager to go and that helped to push me along the 2 miles.
I figured that I'd have a tough time running but I was (sort of) surprised that my legs were feeling OK and I was able to run at a good pace right away. It was an rasy short loop down to the rodeo fairgrounds and back (no hills but boring main roads).
I felt good for the first couple of miles but then I began to tire and decided to back off to a walk and go for a hike later on.

Granite Basin Lake had a few families enjoying the day but the trailhead parking lot was empty and we had the trails to ourselves. The area was nice after the clearing work done by the Forest Service to remove the thick brush and the forest was open and beautiful.

Lulu was having a great time out front checking all of the smells and looking for a squirrel or two to chase (none were out unfortunately). We continued along the winding path for a good two miles before returning to finish up at the lake.
Lulu enjoyed the cool water and it was a wonderful day.
