Hi Everyone,
This will be my final Actifit Post before Christmas. On Sunday, we went to the Christmas market in Belfast. I haven’t been to one in a few years. We briefly passed through a small one in London two years ago. It was just a brief walk through as we were heading to the theatre to watch the Harry Potter play. This time we dedicated around an hour to look around.
It was quite busy but not crowded. People don’t have as much money anymore. It’s possible people might be nervous after the terrorist attack on the market in Magdeburg, Germany. I really hope that’s not the case. The rest of the city was fairly quiet considering this was the final weekend before Christmas. We also went into Primark (department store) and it was far from crowded. They also had plenty of stock. I bought some new winter Homer Simpson pyjamas and socks. I didn’t even have a hard time finding my size.
After a bit of Christmas shopping, we went to the cinema to watch the new Lion King movie. It was a new upmarket cinema. It had bigger seats and they served preordered food to you at your seat just before the movie began. I was impressed with my chips and dip.
The movie was pretty good, but I felt it didn’t fit that well into the series of films. Scar’s betrayal of Mufasa seemed forced. They had such a good relationship until Mufasa started to bond with Sarabi. Then for Scar to side with those that killed his family was strange. The movie also lacked any comedy. It felt more like an animated drama than a children’s movie. The villains of the movie were pretty convincing. This helped show the strength and determination of Mufasa.
My Content
I had a busy week pumping out content. I posted the remaining three collection posts for Sapien Loop 2 and a Christmas contest.
Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time is finished. All chapters have been posted to Hive and these chapters have been edited. The next step is to put the whole book into a kindle format for Amazon. This should not take long. It will be ready for official release in the first half of January.
I have just posted this year’s Christmas contest. It’s off to a great start. I believe we are already up to 13 participants in just two days. This is a huge improvement over my recent contests that have ended up with only three participants for two months in a row. The Christmas contest is much easier to enter. Everything is provided in the question. The Sapien Loop contests require participants to read a whole book, which is quite an ask. It was easier earlier in the year when participants only needed to read one or two parts of the book. I need to figure out a way to make these contests more attractive.
The Christmas contest is very easy to play. Participants just need to select three presents. One for themselves, one for the participants who entered before them and one for the participant who enter after them. The contest has two winners. They are: the participant who received the highest valued presents and the participant who gave away the highest valued presents.
I feel this game helps capture the Christmas spirit of giving and sharing with others. I hope everyone who participates has fun.
This wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone a merry Christmas and an awesome holiday period. Who knows what the New Year will bring?
