I managed a decent count yesterday. It has been a while since I have managed over 10,000. Winter is coming to an end. It's getting easier to push the counts higher as the weather encourages more outdoor activity. So what did I do to push the counts up? I walked to town. I took my brother in his electric wheelchair. We needed a few extra groceries before the main shop in s few days. His chair helped bring the bags back. I only needed to carry one.
We were supposed to go in the morning but the rain pushed the trip back to the afternoon. Overall, it was a good bit of exercise and it had a productive outcome.
Sapien Loop
It has been over a month since I published my book, Sapien Loop. It is tough trying to bring attention to the book. I managed to give away seven copies when the book was first released. Amazon only allowed me to run the free book promotion for 5 days. I have to wait another few months before I can giveaway anymore copies of the book.
In the meantime, I am promoting the book on X. My X account is struggling. Ever since Elon Musk took over, my account no longer draws any attention. The algorithms are favouring blue tick posts. I have no interest in paying for a blue tick. It is also possible my account is shadow banned.
It was very obvious when that happened to my account on Instagram. I was getting more than 20 likes per post. Then suddenly, I wasn't getting any likes at all. I eventually stopped posting altogether. I uninstalled the app from my phone. It was just wasting space.
I'm going to keep on X even if I have been shadow banned. I mostly use X as a consumer rather than a content creator. X is the fastest social media for the latest news and updates. Other mainstream social media are less informative.
A few days ago, I started my first Sapien Loop Quiz. The turnout is quite low. I think only five have entered. The participants who have entered have put in a good effort. It's great people are reading my book. I'm hoping this could trigger more sales. If not, at least my @captainhive account is receiving more attention. I think the number of participants will climb. I have allowed 10 days to respond instead of the usual 6. This gives participants more time to read the relevant chapters. There is quite a bit of reading. The quiz covers all of Part One.
Despite my struggles promoting Sapien Loop. I have decided I will write more books. Two more parts to Sapien Loop plus a collection of short stories about some of the main characters. I also have another book in mind. This will be similar to my regular content but a little more edgy. I will provide more details soon.
