Hi Everyone,
It's Actifit time again. I've had a fairly busy week. Wednesday last week, we picked up 7 new hay bales for Hamlet the Happy Pig. We got a great deal from a local farm. We managed to bring them back using Frogman's mobility vehicle. Once we got home, I took three bales into the shed and the other four straight up to Hamlet and Lily goat's homes. It is tough going carrying the hay bales up the muddy slope. The mud is really sticky. The ground won't dry out for another couple of months. I'm hoping those 4 hay bales last until mid spring. The next 3 should get us into summer.
Super Bowl (Chiefs vs. 49ers)
Sunday night was Super Bowl night. The game started just after 11:30pm, UK time. So it was more like the super early Monday morning Super Bowl. This was a long Super Bowl. It had an extra period of overtime. I think the game ended just before 4am, UK time.
The game was close but it was not as enjoyable as many other games I have watched. There was a lot of punting. Neither side could get any offensive momentum. You could argue it was good defensive play, but it looked more like poor offensive performances.
The overtime period was fun to watch. The 49ers got the ball first. They went down the field with relative ease. Unfortunately the drive stalled right at the end. Therefore, they had to settle for a field goal. The Chiefs had their go with the ball. They needed a field goal to tie for the game continue or if they scored a touchdown, they would win. The Chiefs went down the field and scored a touchdown with just a few seconds left in overtime.
As a 49ers fan, it was sad to see the team lose. On the upside, the team has been really successful over the past 5 years. They've been to four NFC Championship games and to two Super Bowls.
At the start of the playoffs, I predicted the Chiefs to win. I changed my mind a few days ago. I believed too many people were backing and betting on the Chiefs. Looks like Vegas did not win this time. However, the NFL are still big winners. I'll update my Super Bowl post in the coming days.
My Content
I posted twice since my previous report. I brought back my solutions series (prevent, solve, or manage) and I posted about working together.
As part of the solutions series, I wrote about energy. We all need energy to live quality lives. However, sources of energy and production of energy lies in the hands of the few. This makes us all vulnerable because of our dependence on the few. This can easily lead to shortages and price hikes. Many countries have been experiencing this for the past year. Stagnation of growth has prevented costs from continuing to climb. We need to break this cycle by pushing for more decentralised production of energy.
In the second post, I discussed working together to create change for a better future. It is becoming obvious that the world is in a bad way. Societies and economies are collapsing. I believe tougher times are inevitable.
We are heading towards change. Who will control that change? If we want a brighter future, we need to control that change. The only way we can do that is by working together. Our broad objectives are similar even if there are many things we struggle to agree on.
That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone a great week. I'll be back with another post soon.
