Hi Everyone,
Summer has arrived in the UK. I think we are up to 3 weeks of good weather. Even the rain has come at night. It was perfect for putting up Hamlet the Happy Pig's and Lily goat's house. It was definitely good enough to make a video. I posted a video yesterday. I intend to make a few more soon. In terms of physical activity, I have been a bit more active. Mowing the grass gets me out in the sun. It's not much fun. I should start extending Mango the dog's walks; assuming he's still up to it.
Tomorrow will be my 6th anniversary of being on Hive. It's amazing how time flies. I've spent so many hours writing content on Hive. For the most part, it has been great. Even the Steem years were pretty good. On reflection, it had become pretty toxic. If Hive wasn't created out of Steem, I would have left by now. My Steem account was blocked on Steemit. When Hive was created Steem basically became Steemit. The majority of the best independently run Dapps left.
A big part of my time on Hive is Actifit. I have been using Actifit for well over 4 years. I'm not a daily poster but I try to post roughly once a week. It has acted as my diary and a place where I briefly summarise my content posted between reports. No plans on packing this up either.
My Content
Since my previous report, I have posted once. This was a video I made in my garden. I initially intended to discuss most of my points from a previous written post but, almost immediately, I changed my mind. Once I started filming Hamlet and Lily, the content started to shape it's own path. Both of them have been bred a particular way and that is to be small. Pigs, like Hamlet, have been through a considerable amount of specialised breeding. First they were bred to be bigger, grow faster, and to be more muscular. This is for the purpose of being killed to be used as food. Small pigs such as Hamlet have been bred from being bigger to being smaller but only in certain ways. Their legs and spines are shorter but they still have a large amount of girth. This makes them shorter but still heavy. This puts greater strain on their smaller bones.
This video is quite different from any other video I have made before. I still managed to make the most of the key points I intended to discuss from the start but there is a lot more video footage of Hamlet and Lily. Some of it is quite funny. For example, the Lily headbutts.
That wraps up this week's Actifit Report and Update. I expect to be posting tomorrow to mark 6 years on Hive. I wish everyone an awesome week. I hope the weather is holding out well wherever you live or are currently staying.
