TGIF 🍻🍷 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us and as always glad you stopped by yet again 👏. It's now that time of day to slow down and take a look at how things went and also what's trending in the media streets. Come on, let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with a short brisk walk around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had some few errands at the city centre. . Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
On the continent, Senegal trending as the supreme court ruled that the election will be held on 24th March. Some presidential hopefuls had filed a case to stop it😹.
Globally, all attention on Gaza. Hamas says it has presented a comprehensive vision of ceasefire deal to Qatari and Egyptian mediators.
This time Israel has agreed to send a delegation to those talks. However, PM Netanyahu has authorized a ground invasion of Rafa🙀. The US, EU and several other countries have warned that many civilians would be killed if that happens.
Also trending, Israel once again fired at civilians waiting for aid killing several 😿. The total death toll announced as 31,490 killed😭.
Speaking of aid, the open arms ship from Cyprus finally arrived at the coast of Gaza. It has 200 tonnes of supplies, they were building a jetty to start getting the food in.
Trending in Europe, Russians began voting in an election where everyone knows the outcome😹.
It's Putin for another 6 years, until 2030🙀. I'm just wondering about that war in Ukraine.
Speaking of which 20 people killed in Ukrainian port city of Odessa in a Russian missile attack.
Ukraine launched a drone attack in the Belgorod region of Russia, one person reportedly killed.
Elsewhere, Germany, France and Poland leaders met affirming support for Ukraine💯.
Let's cross over to Asia, Japan trending as lots of cherry blossoms adding beauty to the capital Tokyo. The trees are looking spectacular😻.
Finally, in crazy weather, Indonesia has experienced lots of torrential rain that has caused flooding in many areas. Lots of houses damaged especially those close to the coast.
People have been evacuated in several areas. Am sure things will be ok.All's well that ends well 💯
