Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary Sunday and the stepping continued unabated. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news, There were some interesting matches in the EPL just like yesterday.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹.The opposition parties called for protests after Ramadan 🙀.
On the continent, Sudan trending as fierce fighting between the sudanese army and para military force RSF. A three hour ceasefire didn't hold. World food program temporarily suspended operations in Sudan after 3 employees killed in Northern Darfur.
Globally, Ukrainian soldiers fighting hard in Bakmut as they deny that Russians have taken it fully. It's orthodox Easter in both Ukraine and Russia, churches in both countries at odds because of the ongoing war or special operation 😹.
Speaking of Easter, crowds gathered in east Jerusalem's old city in Israel.
Pilgrims travelled to the church of the holy sepulchre to celebrate the holy fire ritual which they call a miracle.
Trending in India, a former MP and his brother were shot dead on live tv 🙀. The former MP convicted for kidnapping was under police custody when gunmen posing as journalists drew guns and shot at close range😭.
Across the pond in the US, four people killed at a birthday in Alabama 😭. No motive for the shooting has been found and no one has been arrested 🙀. Down in Mexico, seven killed at a poolside shooting 😭. This one probably linked to drug cartels.
Finally, Putin has met with Chinese defence minister in Moscow. This coming less than a month after Chinese president Xi Jing ping held a three day state visit. Let's hope something good comes from this, remember China is working on a peace plan to end the war in Ukraine.
