Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. We are definitely inching closer to the weekend. As always thank you for being here and let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some of the trending stories. You know how we do it, let's go 💨.
So I had a rather short fast paced morning session consisting of a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. The cool morning breeze 🍃 was fantastic 💯.
Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the mall for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day. On the continent Ghana became the first African country to approve a new malaria vaccine that is termed as a game changer in the fight against malaria,🎊🎉. Researchers from Oxford university have been working on it for over 20 years.
Globally, let's begin in the US, the Pentagon has said the leak of classified information last week was a deliberate criminal act🙀. The FBI have arrested the main suspect earlier today. Alleged secret documents indicate that the US has been spying on closest allies and adversaries 😹.
Across the pond in Europe, president Biden continued his tour of his ancestral home- Ireland. Today he addressed the joint Irish parliaments.
Over in France,thousands of people were out on the streets protesting the planned reform of the pension system.In some instances police had to use tear gas and water cannons to disperse crowds😹.
In the middle east, Jordan has warned Israel against imposing limits on Christian worshipers during orthodox Easter. Israel has limited the number of people allowed into the holy sepulchre from the usual 10,000 to 1,800🙀.
Finally, let's finish off with some crazy weather. A powerful storm called cyclone Ilsa has hit western Australia - red alert issued - people told to take shelter. In Florida USA, flooding has hit many areas after heavy torrential downpour. Then in China, a sandstorm has blanketed large areas of Beijing 🙀.
