Hello everyone π,
Happy hump day ππ and a very warm welcome to my world π. Its yet another 24 hours to be grateful for. As the day draws to a close am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share what's trending in the media streets. Thank you for reading and let's dive in π¨.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a beautiful sunny π morning as I made my way. A short walk that I enjoyed and then I was back indoors thirty minutes later. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the mall for some groceries. Still a beautiful sunny day as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube .Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending as a gruesome video emerged showing Russian soldiers beheading a Ukrainian soldierπ. President Zelensky has condemned that act calling Russian invasion barbaric and not acceptable. There's greenery in the video meaning that it happened some time before winter.
Elsewhere in Belfast, North Ireland, US president Biden wrapped up his visit encouraging peace that has lasted 25 years since the signing of the good Friday agreement.
He later travelled to Ireland, first Dublin then Dundalk where he was given a hero's welcome π. He will later meet the pm and address the parliament tomorrow.
Trending in Russia, the upper house has passed a bill for electronic summons. So draft papers will not need to be delivered physically. This to help stop men from leaving the country and easier to get recruited in the armyπΉ.
Down in South Korea, the govt is now offering couples $10,500 for each new baby born. This as the birth rates fall to a record low and schools keep getting shutπΉ.
Trending in China, Brazilian president Lula da Silva is on a tour to Beijing and will be meeting his counterpart Xi Jing ping. China slowly leading the consolidation of BRIC countries πΉ.
Finally in Chile, workers are a happy lot as Congress has cut working hours from 45 to 40 per week ππ
Anyways do check me out yet again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday βΊοΈ. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―.
So that's all I got, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata.
