Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We have just began with April. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, a new week and I have had a great day. So it's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
It was another cloudy morning as I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. The walking got me all warmed up and I jogged a bit towards the end. Then I was indoors for some of the usual indoor chores. I was on you tube and also watched the news throughout the day. Next walking came in the afternoon getting some veggies to cook. I later had my usual refreshing nap and then finally my evening slow paced walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. I feel like the day flew by very fast.
So what's been trending?, locally a little bit of the usual political shenanigans😹. The opposition called off Mondays protest and are having negotiation talks with the government.
Globally, US trending as former president Donald Trump has left Florida for New York where he will be attending his trial tomorrow. The first former president to be criminally charged 🙀. New York mayor has warned his supporters to behave😹.
Also trending, the CFTC have filed criminal charges against CZ, the owner of the biggest exchange - Binance🙀. Seems like their war on crypto will never end😹.
Let's go to Europe, where in Paris France they have voted by referendum to get rid of the ubiquitous scooters by September 🙀.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, authorities in Kyiv have denied that the town of Bakmut has fallen to Russia's wagner group. Today an NGO has said at least 501 Ukrainian children have been killed since the war began😭.
Yesterday, I said oil prices would surge on that announcement by OPEC and indeed the prices are up. More pain at the pump 😭 and record profits for oil companies, what a wild world 😹.
Also trending, the Malaysian parliament has voted to abolish the death penalty 🎊.
Finally, today marks the 50th anniversary since the first mobile call was made back in 1973. How things have changed, now a mobile is a necessity, soon fiat cash will be a thing of the past 😹.
