TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us😹. I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for this day, it's a blessing to be alive 💯. I thank you all of you for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get it 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. A nice short walk then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies around the park. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, US trending as former president Donald Trump is due to appear in a court house in New York on Tuesday 🙀. He is the first former president to face criminal charges:, finger prints and mugshots will be taken. Four charges, he paid some hush money to a pornstar 😹. How the money was paid is where the illegality comes in. He says he is innocent so let's wait and see.
Let's go across the pond in Europe. Belarus trending as Europe's only dictator Lukashenko, delivered his annual speech😹. Saying he will accept Russia to position nuclear weapons in Belarus. Accused the west of planning to invade his country through Poland 😹.
Over in Ukraine, president Zelensky led the country in celebrating the one year anniversary of the liberation of the city of Bucha. Over 1,400 people died when it was under Russia occupation 😭. Today they were remembered in a special way.
Let's go to Asia, former Malaysian PM Najib Razak has lost his bid for a judicial review by the nation's highest court 🙀. He will be returning to jail to continue his 12 year sentence.
Down in Japan, over 450 schools close down every year due to low population of students 🙀. The govt has come up with initiatives to encourage child bearing😹.
Finally in crazy weather, firefighters in Northern Spain are fighting over 100 wild fires 🔥 caused by warm pre spring weather. Then in south Korea, beautiful scenes as cherry blossoms have come out earlier than usual 🙀.
