TGIF 🍻🍷 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Another 24 hours is going by really fast and as it draws to a close, I am grateful yet again 👏. Thank you for reading and let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some of the trending stories. Come on 💨.
So I started the day with lots of brisk walking around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had to get something to cook from the shopping centre. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news and that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
A few days ago Tunisian president Kais Saied accused black African migrants of trying to change the nation's identity among other things.
That speech has led to acts of violence and open racism 🙀. Ivory coast and Guinea sent charter flights to rescue their nationals.
Next let's go to Ukraine, where intense fighting going on in the east.
Russian army says they have almost completely surrounded the city of Bakmut 🙀.
Over in Belarus, Nobel laureate has been sentenced to ten years in prison 😡. Of course politically motivated.
Meanwhile in Turkey, the main Turkish opposition alliance, comprised of 6 political parties have disagreed on who should be presidential candidate to run against Erdogan in the upcoming election 😹. One party has pulled out.
Let's go to Asia, in Cambodia the opposition leader has been sentenced to 27 years of house arrest for treason 🙀. This conveniently done ahead of elections after his trial was dragged on for the past three years😹.
Finally across the pond in the US, some crazy weather as heavy snowfall left some California residents trapped in their homed🙀.Some mountain communities in southern California have received as much as ten feet of snow in the last week😡. There are reported power outages and travel complications.
